Hi all, I have been on a couple of these weight loss threads over the last year (and a bit) and have lost over 50lbs. I started at 15st 9lb and weighed in this morning at 11st 13lbs. I realise this sounds great, but the reality is that for the last two months, I've been of the rails and just can't get myself back on track! I've gained 5lbs (lucky it's not more!) and I am starting to fall into bad habits again. I turned 40 in September and really want to keep going rather than returning to being obese. I officially have another 2 stone to lose to be at the top end of my healthy BMI and want to do all I can to be the healthiest and happiest version of myself. I am going to do a weekly weigh-in on Wednesdays to help keep me motivated and accountable. Anybody is welcome to join no matter how much you weigh, which method you are using, or where you are in your journey.

I am having this exact predicament! One size are getting a bit baggy and scruffy, but the others feel too tight! 🙈😫 I always buy goal jeans so I can try them on occasionally before making the leap!

Thanks all, I feel like I don't know where to start. I'm walking a lot more (15k steps daily) and my feet don't hurt anymore. DP and I don't live together but he's super disciplined.

Saw a male friend recently and they have lost 10kg on injections bought online. Looks like a different person

Weigh in Wednesday

11st 11lbs and 3/4 this morning. So I have only only lost 1/4 of a lb this week 🙄 Pretty disappointed as other than being marginally off plan over the weekend, I have been really focussed.

SW: 15st 9lbs
CW: 11st 11lbs 3/4
GW: 10st

Hey ho, on to the next week. At least it's going in the right direction ⬇️

Hope everyone has had a good week ☺️

I'm on holiday Scottish half term, no scales and probably drank too much this week.
But .25 of a pound off is better than nothing.

Enjoy your holiday @Sugarfree23 😊

I'm stuck on 13.9

Bumblebeebum23 · 16/10/2024 16:55

@Accbabymom1994, it's so frustrating, isn't it! Keep going, and I'm sure we will all get there eventually x

Hi, holiday damage 12st 7 I can't seriously have gained 4lb in a week. Hopefully some will drop off quickly

Bumblebeebum23 · 23/10/2024 22:18

Hopefully not! 🤞 Not a great weigh in for me either.....I went out for a curry last night and weighed 11st 13lb this morning 😕 so 1lb gain 😭 just can't get myself back into losing consistently.

I've lost 16 kilos / 35 pounds slowly doing an eclectic mix of things. I'm trying to do it differently this time so I don't regain the weight.

I've decided that I should follow my body's lead and as long as I'm heading in the right direction all good. I do sometimes wonder if losing a significant amount of weight triggers the body to fight back so if I hit a plateau I don't try and fight it. In my mind my body is 'locking in,' or creating a new set point and rather than being frustrating I'm finding it encouraging that my body is happy to just sit at the point fur a month or so.

At the moment my weight is bouncing around the same kilo so I've switched to focusing on exercise more which I am hope will help make the weight loss permanent. In the past few weeks I've been doing some dancing, swimming and a bit of strength training.

Im feeling very mixed about my clothes being too big. I'm getting rid of the clothes I was wearing just because they fitted and loving buying clothes that work with my newly emerging hourglass shape but I'm finding it kind of exhausting and I dunno desatablising? to not know how half of my clothes fit until I try them on. Is anyone else feeling that way? And shopping is confusing because I don't know what size I am.

Sorry that was more than I meant to write!
