Struggling with loosing weight

just having a rant but happy for any advice!

im honestly feeling so low about my weight. I’m 27 weigh 16st 3lbs and had my child 2 years ago. I was a size 14 before I fell pregnant and was around 12 stone. Since June I’ve been really trying with a healthy lifestyle but no matter what I try I just can’t seem to loose the weight!

last time I was weighed on the 10th August had lost a total of 11lbs. I honestly feel so defeated.

I eat calorie deficit I exercise 5-6 times a week. I sleep good I’m a bit up and down with my water intake.
some of my friends have suggested I try the weight loss jabs like monjaro but I just can’t afford it.
I honestly hate how I look post baby. This is the biggest I’ve ever been I could honestly cry looking in the mirror

@Mamabird2022 Congratulations on losing 11pounds since June. Don’t give up, you will succeed, you have a superb commitment to exercise, which must be difficult with a young child.

Do you log your daily calories? I realise pregnancy and birth will have changed your body, but what else has changed in your eating habits compared to before pregnancy when you were 12 stone?

You are probably consuming more calories than you think and eating the wrong thing. Try this:

  • healthy Mediterranean type diet (Middle Eastern/Lebanese) and healthy Asian style stirfrys
  • lots of vegetables, moderate amount of lean protein, small quantities of healthy fats, dairy (full fat Greek yoghurt) and complex carbs.
  • ditch all forms of sugar, artificial sweeteners, refined carbs, UPF and alcohol
  • intermittent fasting - 16:8
  • portion control - use a smaller plate
  • 2 meals/day and no snacking other than a piece of fruit, a couple of carrots or a boiled egg
  • use herbs, lemon juice, ginger, garlic etc to enhance flavour and get used to loving savoury foods.

11lb weight loss from June is pretty good though that's almost a stone.

I had hyperemesis for the first 5 months of my pregnancy so I was incredibly sick. Couldn’t keep any food or water down. Then once it went away I binged on anything and everything. I ate a lot of processed foods. Had McDonald’s every other week chocolate fizzy drinks etc so wasn’t eating exactly great. Then after the baby myself and my ex separated which wasn’t on good terms at the time so I wasn’t really looking after myself and I would have periods where I didn’t eat at all for a few days and then would binge on lots of unhealthy foods in large amounts. I ballooned up to 17st from this. Now I eat a lot better.a little Chocolate and a can of fizzy drink once a week. Bacon once a week don’t eat heavily processed foods. Eat a lot of greens and veg

@Mamabird2022 You have completely turned round your eating habits, that is 80% of the work done. The weight didn’t appear overnight, so it will take a while to loose, but you really will succeed over time as you’ve got everything in place to do it. Don’t give up.

Definitely log your calories on an app. It's a massive help. I use nutracheck. Weigh and measure everything. Calories will sneak in if you don't. I have lots 12 pound since 18th August by tracking, weighing and measuring.

From June to the 10th August is at least 1lb a week which is a healthy and sustainable rate of weight loss!
