Just keep going.

Are you losing fat from other areas of your body? If so, your bum will eventually lose some.

I store fat round my tummy and its always the very last place to lose it and the first to put it back on.

I've also considered surgery, but dp won't stand for me having anything else unfortunately and to be honest its quite a brutal surgery so i'd rather diet.

Unless your bums massive I wouldn't worry too much anyway, you don't want your womanly curves to disappear now !

When you exercise are you just doing cardio (running etc) or do you do weights / resistance work as well ?

I do sets of squats on a weights machine at the gym (you can do them against a wall with a fit ball) and they are good a tightening your bum up. Other exercises are using the step machine , doing squats on a powerplate or cycling uphill whilst standing up.

Squats whilst holding extra weight (dumbells) on your shoulders. Lunges. - if you go to a gym - check out if they have a glutes machine - if not you can do it at home - its the exercize where you get on all fours and lift one bent leg upwards. You can slip a dumbell into the crease behind your knee to get the same effect as a gym machine if you wanted.

Those are the three main exercizes i do for my butt - steps always good too - as it combines reistance/toning with cardio.

Also - a good calorie controlled diet should do it - although if you want to be lean rather than smaller - you might wanna opt for a lower/healthy carb option. I've been working on my buttocks (amongst other things) now for about 9 months. Its as round as a peach now - its just the dimples I wanna get rid of!!!! I'm trying massage to break it down! BEST O LUCK!

Swim! I have been swimming a lot recently - I now have a butt of steel . It really does the job.
