Weight increase and bloating during hot weather

I feel fat since the temperature increased this week. Really bloated and weigh more than usual.

Is it me or does the hot weather affect others this way too?

Posted while sitting next to a high velocity fan 😂

No, you’re definitely not alone 🥵

I'm the same, I am bloated with piggy fingers.

My tummy is so bloated and uncomfortable... I hate this heat

Yep, same here. I dont even feel the heat anymore due to an underactive thyroid, so Im not actually 'hot', yet my body is clearly hot because the usual massive ankles, face and stomach has arrived.

Can barely get some of my shoes on sometimes and so ugly with ankle overhang

I gave up on another thread where i made a casual observation about measuring weight etc, where I said that for some of us who have this swelling, measuring the body is unreliable vs stepping on the scales and its clear some people just have never suffered with such a thing. It makes no odds how much fluid I get through Im still like the michelin man.

I'm the same and thought I was going mad. I've just got back from abroad for a week and barely ate or drank anything but you'd never know I didn't binge eat.

I am going to try some buscomint today to try and help the tummy bloat.. I feel 8 months pregnant!

I am strict on eating 1400 cals a day and I was horrified when I weighed and the scales suggested I put on a few pounds..

Hi - this is most likely your body holding on to extra water because you probably aren't hydrated enough - up the water in take and in a couple of days you should level out - I've been weighing daily and my weigh spiked hugely on Tuesday, but back down by 2kg today when its cooler and I am hydrated.

Stickthatupyourdojo · 02/08/2024 09:58

Urgh yes!!! I have gone up four pounds since Tuesday. Yesterday I put on a dress I wore when I was nearly 3 stone heavier at Christmas and is now usually loose on me and my stomach was really sticking out in it yesterday.

Reasonstobebeautiful · 02/08/2024 09:59

Same :( every single time, sick to death of it.

Drink plenty of cold water, fill up on fruit & salads, wear natural fibres, move slowly. Keep the windows open and keep out of the sun if possible.

Avoid drinks with sugar, caffeine or sweetener. Avoid anything too high fat or anything alcoholic.
