Help me lose a stone

I’ve just stepped on the scales after a stressful few weeks of not exercising or eating properly & I’ve put on a stone. I’m only 5ft tall so this really shows. My clothes are all too tight and I feel so heavy & unhealthy, and this is by far the heaviest I’ve ever been outside of pregnancy. I do enjoy exercise (walking/running, weights) but I don’t have the funds to join a gym or the time for fussy meal planing (I tried Joe Wicks once & couldn’t cope with the endless food prep) so I’m looking for a diet & exercise plan that will fit around family life/work and help me get back on track. Aside from losing the extra fat I’d love to feel stronger & more in control of my eating. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I should have said that I have no underlying health conditions & aside from how being overweight I’m fit & well.

I’ve been carrying a stone surplus stone now for around 4 years.

I did noom for a while which worked really well but I can’t face going back to it. It’s a total bugger - I love to eat but I don’t gorge. It’s age and menopause related for me.

The sad fact is I need to eat less. Simple but not easy. Exercising makes me feel good but doesn’t have much impact on my weight.

You have given me a bit of impetus today to get started. Good luck with your efforts 👍👍
