I’ve lost 25 pounds!

Just wanting to put it out there. I’m very conflicted. Thought I would see more of a dramatic difference with this amount of weight loss. Also I lost less than I would have hoped for in this final week of dieting. So just trying to psyche myself up and be proud of myself despite the aforementioned. Have probably got another 30 pounds to go but that feels so much more doable than 55/60 pounds to lose.

Proud but weirdly a bit low as well. Not the high I anticipated!

Well done! How did you do it?

Trickedbyadoughnut · 05/07/2024 14:08

Oh wow, that's a lot!

I put on and lose weight relatively all over, so it is less obvious to me in the mirror - but it always shows up on photos! So maybe it's just that you're not seeing it so much yourself yet.

Congratulations on the hard work, let us know how you did it.

You are just three pounds away from having lost a whole cocker spaniel worth of weight (my one weighs 28lb). Imagine carrying one of those everywhere you go!

You've done an amazing job and try not to stress about what you expected in the last week. Keep focused on the bigger picture and how much healthier you are now and how much you've got to look forward in the future.

Best of luck to you.

That’s brilliant! Well done!

I have 15 options for each meal that I can chose from. Rarely deviate (apart from my weekly takeaway which is grilled tandoori meat and salad or something else non carb). I personally think each meal is delicious ie scrambled eggs with spinach, mushrooms and a plant based breakfast patty (plenty of hot sauce). Favourite dinner right now is Japanese curry. I give the kids breaded chicken whilst I have sweet potato, onion, carrots. sweetcorn. No rice. My side is garlicky broccoli. Very filling.

My meals are non carb and I guess I naturally have started to IF.

No liquid calories. And do my best not to snack. If I get ludicrously hungry my go to “snack” is white egg omelette with a pile of watercress which I have discovered that I adore.

I just have the will now. I was very unhappy before. So much so I would often cry on my own.

If I can do it, so can you!

Haha in actual fact I would love to carry a cocker spaniel around - always wanted one but dh says our loopy retriever is all we can handle.

Congrats.

I too have lost 27 pounds and 14 to go. Now redefining muscle tone as part of the daily regime.
I'm on IF 18:6 and eat thoroughly by nutrition values only.

I can assure my cocker spaniel gets too heavy to carry after a short while!

Congrats! You are so close to your goal! Jealous as I still have a long way to go

Well done! I need to lose about 30lbs, 3lbs down, feels like a long road even though I know what to do

Good luck. You’ll get there.

I tried my best to have my eating on auto pilot mode. Created weekly plan so I never had to figure out food last min. If you can make your life busy (healthy way of course) so that dieting is just one small element. Much easier than when it’s the sole focus of your existence.

Well done! I'm in a similar situation - have lost over 20 pounds, with another 15-20 pounds to go. Absolutely no one has complimented me on my weight loss, and I am disheartened by looking in the mirror as I still look like a potato. Keep going!

LightSpeeds · 05/07/2024 17:49

Well done - that's brilliant!
