Wegovy and exercise - side effects

Hi everyone,

I am taking wegovy and am currently on 1.7mg dose. I have been very lucky so far with good results and limited side effects.. until this weekend.

My husband and I are regular walkers and spend most of our weekends walking up some sort of hill either locally or around England. We went away to North Wales at the weekend and decided to give Snowdon a go, we've done it before and other than getting drenched and achy muscles? I was fine. This time was a completely different story! About half way up I started feeling light headed and thought this could be down to low energy/having a small breakfast so decided to have a sandwich. After eating I felt incredibly nauseous, and was sick when we got to the top. The only difference between now and the other times we have walked it is the wegovy.

Has anyone experienced this sickness when doing strenuous exercise and been taking wegovy?

I have, and not even strenuous exercise. Walking up the stairs knocked the wind out of me. I took a few weeks off and contemplated not starting again because it was so strange going back to feeling normal and well again. I have stayed at 1mg for a few months now after upping to 1.7mg and having an awful time and I almost get no side effects at all from that dose now and managed to break a plateau. I wish I could give you some advice but I simply didn’t exercise!
