Switch Wegovy to Mounjaro

Hello...

I was wondering if anyone can help with info on switching from Wegovy to Mounjaro.

I have been on Wegovy since October and currently on 1.7mg (went up to 2.4 but felt ill so went back down). Lost 3st since then but weight loss has slowed down.

I would like to go on to Mounjaro but unclear on the gap I need to leave between finishing Wegovy and starting Mounjaro....googling seems to suggest varying amounts of time! Would worry that I out weight back on if there was a long gap.

Has anyone switched and how long did you leave between the 2? Thanks!

I hope you don't mind me bumping this as I'm in the same position. Started Wegovy in November and have lost just shy of 2stone which I am happy with but weight loss has completely slowed down (I've only lost 3lbs in the last 8 weeks but I still have a lot to go!) so also contemplating switching to mounjaro. I'm sure I read somewhere you should leave it two weeks?
Have you tried speaking to your pharmacist/prescriber?

I've actually just checked with Asda pharmacy and they recommend a 5 week gap.
I think I will do one more month on Wegovy and then switch

Thanks for the reply! I asked Pharmacy2U (who I have always ordered with) and they said they would advise the gap when I ordered.

It's difficult as I don't want a massive gap as I will probably put weight on but don't want to take any risks either!

Op, from reading about a lot of people switching from wegovy to mounjaro, it seems that a lot don't feel like the lower doses of Mounjaro work for them and I think some have to build up to higher doses of Mounjaro to start feeling the effects. Not sure if they all waiting to switch between. I doubt many waited 5 weeks.

I was on my first pen of Wegovy when I decide to switch. Had 2 doses of the 0.25mg and the next week switched to MJ. But don't think the Wegovy effected me so was fine switching.

The Facebook Wegovy and mounjaro group has a lot of people that switched. Might be worth having a look there to see how others switched.
