Weigh loss for Easter Part 2

RedDoughnut · 18/03/2024 12:50

For those on the thinner by Easter thread we will run out of space before Easter gets here.

So this is our home for the next couple of weeks.

After Easter my plan is to have a new thread ready for the start of Summer.

Welcome!

@RedDoughnut

Part of weigh loss is the journey you are on and owning it. You are not defined by your weight , it's only a part of you . If your head is not in the right place , then so be it .
A good day or a bad day is not what the scales show .
You ve eaten something , you feel is naughty , or had more than a ' small portion ' , or eaten your emotions . It's done , it can't be taken back , it's gone.
Weigh yourself today ( or tomorrow if better ) and put it on here , own the gain or the loss and then move on .
Tomorrow is another day .

RedDoughnut · 25/03/2024 12:38

@Jennalong

Thank you.

But I don't want to weigh,

I had lost 3 stones since the summer and I don't want to see what damage I have done. At least not today

Losses are motivating for me. Gains make me miserable
I need a few more weeks to get back to where I was

Well I'm down to 14.12 but that's the same as I was 3 weeks ago. I am hoping the fact that I weight this much with DOMS means I'll weigh less in a few days when the water retention has calmed down.

Positives:- I have one more run to do before I've completed C25K.

I know that I am eating properly and can only assume the fact I'm doing a lot of exercise is causing the delay in seeing any big losses.

I also know I could never do one meal a day - although it crossed my mind!

suneetime · 25/03/2024 13:38

Well, I’ve stayed the same again. I weighed half way through the week and was 2lbs down but I’m easing off and eating too much at the weekends. So, at least I can see what I’ll need to do to maintain. I just need to get to a weight I want to maintain first 😂

wallpapercurious · 26/03/2024 08:32

STS this week. Actually I gained 0.1kg. I haven't stuck to my diet at all. I've had a nasty cold, started my period yesterday and DH keeps buying hot cross buns! Oh ok, I bought some of them, but I'm feeling very sorry for myself.

I'm going to try and be vaguely sensible for the next couple of days, relax over Easter weekend, and start afresh in a better frame of mind next Tuesday.

I haven't/won't hit my Easter goal but I've found this thread very helpful and motivating. I don't talk to anyone about my weight IRL so it's helpful to have a place to share. And it's inspiring to hear about people hitting their goals and/or not giving up when things don't go as planned. Looking forward to doing it all again for summer!

SW: 82.9kg
CW: 78.4kg
Easter goal: 75kg

LolaJ87 · 27/03/2024 09:30

1kg down for me this week.

Total since 25/01/2024: 7.5kg (1 stone 2lbs)

My target was a very ambitious 10kg, but I'm delighted with my progress, especially as that has included some meals out and takeaways. I've been eating loads and never hungry.

Looking forward to the next thread now. Onward we go!

1clavdivs · 27/03/2024 09:56

Had a planned diet break having been on it solidly for 3 months. Had a lovely indulgent week and put on 6lbs (!!??), but now lost 2 of those. Back on it as of yesterday and wondering how to stay sensible over the weekend.

SW: 15st 0lbs
CW: 13st 10lbs
GW: 12st 6lbs.

WinterStar1 · 27/03/2024 19:14

So I've been on holiday from work and away for the weekend so the last time I was able to weigh in was last Thursday. I had lost a further 2.4kg from my weigh in on 11 March, and this will be my last weigh in before Easter and happy to say I got my 2 stone. I'm beyond happy with this and thanks to all you ladies I've lost over 4 stone over both the Christmas and Easter threads ... roll on the summer one. Good luck in the final push everyone x

Current Loss: 2.4 kg
Total Loss: 13.9 kg
Target Loss: 12.7 kg

kirinm · 28/03/2024 08:00

Possibly the last weigh in for me before Easter although hopefully I'll find scales on Sunday.

SW: 15.10
CW: 14.10

My next target is the end of May and at least a stone.

Alalalalalongalalalalalonglonglilong · 29/03/2024 11:58

Hello everyone, hope you are all keeping well. I haven't read this new thread but will later. I'm 2lbs off target I set in Jan but am absolutely delighted with this. I had a bad week and gained 2lb and thought oh here we go, I'll plateau now forever but I lost 3lb the next week. A lot of it was water retention (I do body scan) so I think in terms of fat I gained one then lost it again. I'm just happy to know I can have a bad week and not fall off the wagon forever. I plan on eating an Easter egg and enjoying every bit so I'm also planning my meals to be low cal to accommodate this. I don't expect a loss this week but so what, I want my egg! I need to learn to maintain and understand I can enjoy life while losing slowly. Good luck to everyone over the Easter holidays.

1clavdivs · 31/03/2024 22:26

So I weighed in today and haven't made it to 2 stone, but am so pleased with the (almost) 1.5 I managed. I cut my toenails the other day, and noticed when I went to the spa last week that I could comfortably wrap the robe around myself without flashing too much thigh.

Am still going - need to lose just over another stone at the very least, but should go for two really. Are we having another thread?

SW: 15st 0lbs
CW: 13st 9lbs
GW: 12st 6lbs

recklessgran · 01/04/2024 07:37

@RedDoughnut I hope you're O.K. I'm not sure if there's a new thread ready for today's new start so I'm posting here and hope others will too or if not point me to the new thread if there is one!
I've been in the doldrums for the last few weeks not losing, not really gaining but not doing terribly well. So for me today is a new start. Either way I'm still 9lbs lighter than I was at new year but have been feeling a bit stuck and "must try harder" of late.
My first goal is my next holiday at the end of June by which time I would love to have lost a stone. That might not seem much to all you big losers but with my medicated underactive thyroid plus hormone blockers for previous BC I'm up against it more than most!
Start weight 1st Jan 15st 1lb
Today 14st 6lbs
Good luck everyone. I'm starting the day with a walk. That's new for me but I'm going to try going out every morning first thing. This week the plan is to walk 10 minutes out then turn round and walk 10 minutes back. This might not seem much but I'm very physically lazy so hope the idea might encourage others like me. Next week I'll add 5 minutes each way and so on until I'm doing an hour - 30 minutes out and 30 minutes back if that makes sense. We'll see how this first week goes!

Spaceracers · 01/04/2024 07:47

I made it to my mini goal of being under 11stone - just!

SW: 12stone 4 (14 Jan)
CW: 10stone 13.6lbs (!) (today)
TW: 8stone 10

Thanks for the thread! It's really helped.

Successes for me include regularly losing weight (even a small amount) and being consistent.

I have noticed some of my clothes are fitting better, but still nobody else has noticed - or at least said anything!

My BMI has come down from teetering on obese and now is just in the overweight category.

Things to improve: exercise! Need to find some sort of routine and / or activity. And I need to get better at eating out and choosing a better option (rather than thinking fuck it and ordering like I am not on a diet!)

Roll on next thread!

suneetime · 01/04/2024 10:07

1lb on this morning. Not ideal but to be expected with what I ate this weekend. So in total I’ve lost just half a stone. But today is a new day, new week, new month and I’m starting again. I am away at the end of May so would like to have lost by then. Ideally a stone but my loss is slow so I’d be content with 10-12lbs. Despite my failings I’m continuing to post here in the hope it gives me the kick I need. And I like reading about all your losses for inspiration.

needtoshrink · 01/04/2024 11:23

SW 15 stone
CW 13 stone 11
TW 13 stone

Didn't make the 2 stone for Easter but given I've been off and on in the last week or so I'm very pleased with progress so far. Mostly because I haven't given up and binged when I've fallen off the wagon. I feel I'm in a better place than I have been to keep doing this, slowly and steadily.

Got a big holiday at the start of May so going to be quite strict next few weeks to get as close as possible to the 13 for that. Going to take me most of the year to get to where I need to be but will keep focusing on the small goals.

Well done all and thanks for the thread!

RedDoughnut · 01/04/2024 11:56

New thread for the next 2 stones off!

I'm tempted to say it's just dropped so I sound young and cool but I'm old and fat so I just sound ridiculous.

Please join me. My fresh start is tomorrow as we have visitors today.

Is this the new thread or is there a new new one?

Apprenante · 01/04/2024 16:37

Last weigh in for me as today is the end of Easter ... total loss of 1 stone 7.5lbs. Would have been better but I had a short break in 🇫🇷 to celebrate my 70th.

My personal target will be to lose another stone by the end of June.

Thank you for the support of this thread. Looking forward to the next one!
