Hi 👋 I am looking into ordering weight loss injections from boots I.e wegovy I also take other medications like lithium, levythyroxine and aripriprazole - so may be rejected by the doctor from buying it. However I am overweight (had my third baby 8 months ago) and pre diabetic - I don't have much of an appetite when I wake up in the morning so I skip breakfast and sometimes lunch... I sometimes only eat one meal with snacks per day so can I ask how this injection/s would suppress my already suppressed appetite? One thing I do do is snack on all the wrong stuff, sugar is my poison... and crisps, bikkies ...chocolate!!

I have a terrible appetite like yourself, I don't eat breakfast and either have lunch or dinner or sometimes nothing at all. My weight fluctuates a lot high/low and due to a lot of stress has stayed high for a whole now. Sometimes I think it's not always down to what you eat that affects your body weight. I have high BP and anxiety taking meds for both, was also pre diabetic, when you go through Boots they ask what meds you take and will assess if it's right for you, losing weight should help with the pre diabetes. I used to have zero energy and always tired, have been on wegovy 11 weeks now on does 1mg. I have lost weight, my appetite is still poor but I try and force myself to eat something little and often. Since starting I have no cravings for sugary foods or snacking on savoury rubbish. I have increased my protein from foods naturally, boiled eggs are my easy albeit smelly go to. When I started on wegovy I was committed to getting back to my old self and looked into how much protein I was eating before. It was very very low, I ate like a rabbit and had the odd bit if chicken or fish. I'm more conscious of what I eat now.My side effects have mostly been nausea but that could also be my anxiety. This might sound like a contradiction, but I generally feel better in myself and have lots more energy. So far this has been a lot easier to stick to rather than fad food diets.
