Stopping WeGovy for operation

Hi everyone. I have a minor operation in Jan where I'm going to go under general anaesthetic. My surgeon said to stop wegovy 2 weeks before.

Has anyone been through this before and have they seen themselves putting on weight the two weeks to why were off of it?

I'm worried my progress is going to be stumped while I'm off of it, or worse I put on all the weight again!

I stopped wegovy in august and have not gained any weight. But this is because I track all my calories and watch what I eat. If you are stopping ozempic you need to be mindful of your food intake however you will be recovering from surgery so you will need to be eating properly and I am sure you will get back on track when you are well again. You won’t gain a scary amount of weight unless you choose to eat over your baseline of calories every single day. Work out your calorie baseline based on your activity etc and try to stay in range of what you need to eat every day.
