WW stopped working, perimenopausal

I've been doing ww for a year now and have lost 3 stones. Weight loss has been slow but steady (partly down to how well I stick to it).

This last month I have stuck to it religiously and have gained 4lbs. Week 1 St's, week 2 gained 2lb, week 3 gained 1lb, week 4 gained 1lb

I'm getting very disheartened as I still have a lot to lose so not as if I am close to goal. Not sure what to do.

I'm perimenopausal, not had a period since Jan. Feel like I'm retaining water and have had sore boobs for the last month. Kind of how I feel the week before my period but its lasted a month. Gp has refused hrt due to my weight

I also have an autoimmune condition (mixed connective tissue disorder) and have been in a flare for the last few weeks. This also makes exercise difficult

I was wanting some advice on what to do. Do I assume this weight gain is due to hormonal water retention / flare and keep going hoping it goes away

Is ww not the best solution for weight loss in perimenopause? Should I try something else? Is there anything I can do to relieve the water retention? How do I build up exercise with autoimmune disease?

Any advice would be very welcome thanks!

Eating a low carb diet was the only way I have been able to keep weight off since menopause.

The only things that have worked for me have been intermittent fasting. I have lost nearly 3 stones, sticking to mostly plant based food, reduced UPFs (not that I ate that many anyway), no snacking, drinking plenty of water, daily exercise of around 30 - 40 mins. And I rarely drink alcohol any more - it just makes me tired and headachy.

Are you weighing only weekly by chance?
