How to stop ozempic

Hello,

I've been taking ozempic for around 8 months. I'm at a weight I feel comfortable with, and for financial reasons, I need to stop taking ozempic.

Has anyone got any advice on how to stop ozempic, and what I can expect? There's lots of advice about starting and taking it, but not much advice about stopping.

Would you recommend weaning down off it? Will the appetite cravings be worse than they were before I started taking it? Or just more noticeable because I've not had them for so long?

Thanks in advance

I can’t answer your question but I hope someone can and please let us all know how you get on. Good luck.

No side effects from stopping apart from the vomiting, headaches, upset stomach and cramps will stop.

This is what stops me from going on it. I can’t see how you won’t just go back to square one, and I don’t want to be on it for the rest of my life!

Why not titrate off it really slowly and use that transitional time to up your exercise, devise healthy low calorie natural not UPF snacks, so that if your appetite does surge, you can handle it in a way that doesn't set you right back.

I'm planning to titrate down as slowly as I can afford, I hope my habits and smaller portions will continue but I'm anticipating it being hard. What dose are you on at the moment? X
