I have lost 3 stones and 4 pounds since January this year it has not been easy
I am no longer obese but still overweight Bmi 27
I honestly can say I feel no difference I am wearing the same clothes
My face in my opinion just looks much more haggard
No one close to me has noticed although peoplei have bumped into have been v nice saying you look well etc.
How much more do I need to lose?
Think I'd probably need to lose another 1.5 stones to be a normal size

You may not feel different but I bet your heart, lungs, joints, muscles are noticing the difference.

I've lost a lost of weight 50kg and there is parts of me I hate more. My face is haggard. But my body is significantly healthier. I wish it was easier to feel better about how I looked.
I am sorry it's so hard for you.

I found once I was at a goal for a while, my face became less haggard and more like me. I'm a few years on and look fine now.

Maintaining a good skin care routine will help. Congrats on the loss so far!

Do you wear very stretchy or baggy clothes? You will not be the same size after3 stone weight loss. Why are you wearing the same clothes, is it financial?

uhOhOP · 08/10/2023 08:48

Do you notice when clothes are too big for you, generally? Maybe when you try things on in the shop it takes somebody else to tell you you need the next size down? Is it possible you are just doing your belt up a lot tighter, for example, or that the clothes are hanging off you but you've not realised how baggy they've become?

Have you been exercising and gaining muscle? I noticed that one pair of trousers became baggy in the thighs but then a few weeks later (having lost more weight), they were noticeably tighter in the thighs, and with the exercise I'm doing I can see it makes sense.

As far as your face, I have been thinking about what my face looks like and I don't really want it to change shape. I'm not sure I will be able to carry the thin face of my 18-year-old self! After losing fat I aim to increase muscle mass and I think the extra weight will show in my face.

Maybe you need to get a few nice clothes, even though you’re not at target. I bet people would notice then. I lost 24lbs in lockdown and it did make me look older. I gained most of it back, this time I’m not going so low

Thankyou all so much!
I think I'm a strange shape huge horrible boobs and my legs are much skinnier than the rest of me.
INo I could afford some new things but every time I go shopping I feel I'm just buying the same old baggy tops and when I see photos all I can see are the giant matronly breasts.
Yes I definitely feel fitter and can easily do things I was struggling with such as tying my laces!! So sorry I don't mean to complain
