I started 11st 7.

I've lost 12.5lbs and visibly, I look exactly the bloody same

I know it's fab what I've lost on the scales but I want to look at myself and see it!

I’ve lost nearly 2.5 stone and it wasn’t until the 2 stone marker point that my brain realised I’d lost weight and I can see it and all of a sudden everyone is mentioning it to me and telling me not to lose much more!
I was a size 14 (but really should have worn a 16) and now size 12’s are baggy.

People may have noticed but be afraid to mention that you have lost weight.

Have you considered/ are you doing any strength training?

It will help with muscle tone and definition and actually making a visible change.

My body changed a lot with strength training. There was a period when I hardly lost any weight at all but people started commenting how different I looked and asking if I'd lost weight. I hadn't, I'd just toned up.

This is so true …. One minute you look the same and then one day you wake up and can see the difference.

I have lost a stone and I am back into my next trousers a size down. So I have gone from a 16/14 to a 14/12. I noticed the difference and my husband says he can. But who knows. I know that when I look in the mirror sideways I look much thinner. I had that line in the middle of my stomach which made bulges above and below. That line has gone.

i also agree with other posters. People may not want to comment incase they seem rude. I had my next size trousers to try and get into as well. I tried them on every two weeks. And that was a massive help to me. Being able to do them up was amazing.

For me I could only really tell after losing 2 stone, it felt more like a cliff edge than a gradual thing tbh, when I lost 3 stone people started to comment. In the end I lost around 3.5 stone and went from a size 16/18 to a 12/14.

You can’t spot reduce fat on your belly. You need to lose fat and it will come off all over.

You can alter your body shape through intense strength training over a longer period of time. If your shoulders are a bit wider then your waist will look smaller.

And before anyone comes at me about gaining muscle, bear in mind that an untrained male will gain about half a kg of muscle in the first month of training And that extra muscle will burn an extra 10-15 calories a day.
