I know BMI isn’t the gold standard but when I started my diet, I was 33.8. It weigh day yesterday for me and finally, after a few months of dieting, I am 11st8 and a BMI of 29.4 and no longer obese. Down into the overweight category! Still a couple stone to lose but I’m so pleased! Just wanted to share as I’m not discussing weight with friends etc since it can be tedious to listen to.

Congratulations 🥳

Thewizardbinbag · 20/09/2023 22:50

Thank you. It’s the first time I’ve really noticed a difference. I’ve lost 5 inches from my waist and 5.5 inches from my hips and I can actually see it.
Started loads of times since having my kids to try and get back to pre-kid shape but always failed.

This time, I tried lots of different exercises to find the ones I enjoy so now I do spin class and weighed hula hoop and a little bit of a yoga, that’s it because those are the ones I enjoy. And I’m doing small meals, rather than skipping meals and starving myself etc. Going with small meals, and snacking on veg sticks and I have protein ice cream whenever I want and a treat now and then.

That's brilliant! I'm hoping to shift from obese to overweight in the next six weeks.

I bet you really feel the difference.

ScottishBeth · 21/09/2023 09:50

Well done! That is an amazing achievement! I did it a few months ago and it is such an amazing feeling.

OrangesLemonsLimes · 21/09/2023 18:48

I did it on 23rd June (29.9!). It’s a great feeling. I started at 36.2. I know how you feel and I’m chuffed for you!

wlv12 · 21/09/2023 22:02

Well done!!! You should be so proud of yourself! it’s such an achievement 👏🏻

I started at a BMI 32 and it’s now 26. I am SO motivated to see it say 25.something and then eventually 24. something!

Thewizardbinbag · 22/09/2023 09:52

11st 6!!

I know I shouldn’t have weighed until again until Tuesday but wanted to check I hadn’t fluctuated way back up/it wasn’t a fluke and today I am 11st 6! That’s another 2lbs under and I’m not my period so would normally fluctuate up a few pounds.

I’m so happy!! My youngest is 10. I’ve been trying for 10 years and never got below around 12 and a half stone. Convinced myself I couldn’t do it and now I am!
