Hi everyone

Wanted to know if anyone has tried this. I started yesterday within 2 hours I threw up (yay me) the fatigue then set in an hour later and I spent the rest of the day sleeping. As it was such a strong reaction and I had a two hour drive in the morning I decided not to take it as I can't be sick and drive at the same time, even as an amazing driver 😂.

Anyway starting again tomorrow

On the plus side I had no appetite for at least 24 and had this hyper focussed feeling all day

Anyone else tried it?

Hi @sabzino sorry to hear you've had side effects but great you've no appetite! I felt dozy last week on it (first week) but unfortunately I felt hungrier than ever not sure what was going on - not like it was with Saxenda

Tried it again today felt rough but subsided after an hour or two. Hopefully by next week I'll balance out.

Hi OP. How did you get on? I've got a prescription but scared to take it in case I feel awful with it! Just can't find a window of a few days to just roll with it!

Yeah I found the first few doses a lot so started by cutting a pill in half for about a week before building up to a full one every day. That was more manageable.

Or I know they say take the first in the morning but try in the evening instead just while it gets into your system so you can sleep through the side effects.

I generally built it up a lot slower than they advise - I went almost a month on just one pill a day until started to feel hungry again, then upped very slowly - they advise to increase every week or so until youre on four pills a day but I've only increased when cravings come back.

That's interesting- I thought you weren't supposed to cut them in half because they are slow release. So that didn't make it worse for you? I'm now contemplating cutting into quarters just to see how I tolerate it. I'm desperate and terrified in equal measure! Has it worked for you OP?

I tried it and it had no noticeable affect at all.

curiousfat · 05/05/2024 21:57

Disappointing! As in no side effects but also no effectiveness?

Focalpoint · 05/05/2024 22:00

No effectiveness at all (and only side effect was the money I spent on it!)

I quit by week 3 that nausea feeling wouldn't leave me even when I was sleeping. I took a long long break and have recently started mounjaro. Zero negative side effects. I was almost scared it wasn't working

That's interesting @sabzino - and is mounjaro working?
