Hello :)
This is just for me to start holding myself accountable.

I am so fed up of not losing this weight at 31 (32 next week 😫)

I wanted to lose the 3st by my 31st birthday and yet here we are.

So I am 13st 1 around 5ft 8ish I think and I now will not stop until I hit 10st.

I will not pack it all in because I ate 1 chocolate bar and declare its all over. I will do exsersice every day even if its as tiny as walking on the treadmill for 5 mins or doing the Hoola hoop thing I bought.

I no longer want a belly "that's really cool because it wibble wobbles like jelly"

Why is the belly like that?! It's so cruel.

Good idea.
I've managed to do 2K in 20 mins on the treadmill and just attempted a 8kg work out from YouTube by a very handsome gentleman who is trying to kill me. I've had to quit 10 mins in.
He's using a smaller one and I thought it would be fine because a kettle bell is a kettle bell. But I physically can't hold it up any longer.

I walked my dog for 6k yesterday and ate the following:

Tea/coffee/water
Berries/ plain yog/ home made granola

Goat cheese salad
Vegan choc bar (🙈)

Prawn & veg chilli in one tortilla / AF beer

Herb tea / water

Definitely need to cut out the vegan choc as it has sugar!

I've lost 10kg (which is 22 ish pounds I think) since 2021. Slow and steady, my mantra is I don't have to be perfect, just don't be a dick!

I have joined a fancy gym and I'm fitting in as many classes as I can. Body Attack last night!

Like you I'm aiming for an "activity" every day, but this can be a class, horse riding, walk or cycle to the shops. If I do a whole week I get a present to myself!

Food is harder! I'm a snacker and a sugar addict!

I need to lose about 5kg more

Vegan Choclate is just to good.
I've had to ban it for me completely ban it for myself. I just have no self control.

I fall off so easily and then just give up hope and put it all back on. Also I'm a terrible snacker.

Hi could I please join aswell, I’m 15st 10lb have recently lost 10lb, I turn 50 this December and I wanted to be 10 stone by then, don’t think that will happen but any loss is welcome. I was always slim until I had my daughter 14 years ago and developed an underactive thyroid which is where that weight gain has come from that and a non sleeping child now diagnosed autistic. I am also asthmatic and have many aches and pains which I don’t doubt are due to my weight. The menopause hasn’t helped either, but now school is back I’m trying to do 3 classes per week and 1 PT session, and some swimming, I have 2 jobs both of which are very active so probably don’t need any more. Oh also am pre diabetic as if I don’t have enough to be getting on with. Today bc if circumstances I’m having a McDonalds for lunch but then having mince and potatoes for dinner and will try not to snack too much x

I have to manage my snacking by having zero snacks in the house, if they are here I cannot be trusted not to eat them all!

I have semi-fun snacks like nutrigrain and sesame snaps if I really need something.

Otherwise my deal with myself is that I can walk to the shop for individual chocolate bars! Feels like I'm not completely restricting my myself that way! But stops me getting carried away!

The things that seem to work for me are almost no carbs with dinner and eating insanely early and obviously nothing after at all.

Can I join for accountability as well? I'm needing to lose at least 4 stone and really struggling. I've been trying to lose weight since 1st Jan and thought I had made some really good changes but I weighed myself this morning and I am 6lbs heavier than my pre-holiday weight 3 weeks ago 😡

I'm 5ft 8, 16 st 9lbs (this time 3 years ago I had lost 8 and a half stone and was 11st 10lb cries)

I need somewhere to right down what I'm eating so other people can tell me if I'm being a greedy piggy or not. I've lost sight of what is normal!

You have so much on your plate! To manage 10lbs ontop of that is amazing. I've never managed to get that far.

I also got fixated on a set amount of weight loss by a deadline and I think it ended up ruining any progress I made because it wasn't enough. So when it didn't go to plan I'd binge eat... don't know the logic.

Both those meals sound lovely!

That's such a good idea!
I've radically cur down on snacks in the house as I have zero will power. Luckily my strange children consider fruit a good snack.

We're in the same place! After any holiday or break I pile on weight. It doesn't even have to be overindulgence. But this time we're going ro do it :D

I'm using my fitbit app to track what I'm eating. It also tracks water intake which im also bad at.

I haven't used that one sorry.

But the fit bit one is so user friendly.
It's idiot proof :D I know because I am an idiot and I've never managed to do food tracking before because I just didn't understand it.

Granted I'm eating stuff that's easy to work out so far but I just click the food log and you can either find a pre created option or enter your own. And then it saves it for the next time.

I got asked if I was pregnant today :(

I'm 5 foot 2 and 12 stone 7. I'd like to get down to 9 stone 5, but I think my initial target is 11 stone.

I came home from work and did a 20 minute workout. I found this Emi Wong woman who does a number of different workout plans. I'm starting with the 28 day transformation. I'm very tired haha, but I managed it (just).

I've set myself up on MyFitnessPal, which has given me a daily allowance of 1200 calories. Considering I pigged out on pastries, cappuccinos and a massive Chicken Caesar Salad before the pregnant comment, I have about 150 calories remaining. So not sure what to eat for tea. I might just have some tuna and rice (take me over), but hey ho!

@Wibblywobblylikejelly I feel that my level of greediness in those 2 weeks don't justify 6lbs on, probably deluded I know!

I tried mindful eating and really thought I was eating a good, balanced diet (and had stopped binging) but I actually gained weight. I know I need to just count calories but we cook from scratch a lot so it can be quite time consuming. Bah humbug!

I know I need to stop whining and just get on with it, nobody likes a cry baby 😁

I'm 52, 5'9" & want to shift a stone. Gradually crept on especially since menopause.
I aim to do something active every day. Need to quit the snacking! Plan to be sensible in week & relax a little on a weekend.
What day is weigh day? Is everyone doing same day?

I haven't been fantastic today!

Breakfast - pitta bread ( I eat way too many toasted pitta breads!)

Mid morning snack- strawberry nutrigrain.

Lunch - cheese and ham

Walked to the shops (40 minute round trip) and was a bit naughty and got a milkway AND starburst!

Dinner- peri peri chicken kebabs and salad.

Horse riding for an hour or so and a couple of pittas when I got home!

Not 100% successful today!

Please can I join too? I am so uncomfortable and can't get myself into gear to lose at least 2 st. I really need to lose 3 st but I know I'd be pushing it.

I'm 57, post menopausal, 5ft 2ins and 13st 11lb... my below belly button fat is disgusting.

I am currently drinking a lot of high sugar alcohol cos I'm low - my 18yr old cat died a week ago so am wallowing and need to pull myself together sharpish.

I hope I can actively join in and stick to it but do doubt myself already and need to hit "send" before I back out.

Good day for me today I think

I never eat breakfast so had homemade garlic Mushroom soup for lunch, followed by a pear, plum and a cup of tea with oat milk.

I had some unsweetened full fat Greek yogurt for an afternoon snack (I find it I have this straight after lunch I'm starving by the time I get home so end up picking at everything while I'm waiting for tea)

Had a later dinner at around 8pm, homemade chickpea, spinach and sweet potato curry with some brown rice. It's not something I would normally find appealing but it's a Jamie Oliver recipe and it's actually delicious and really satisfying. Had a salted caramel protein mousse from Aldi for pudding and now I'm having a cup of tea with some unsweetened almond milk.

I've made a vegetable soup to portion and freeze, as well as a mixed bean and mint salad to keep in the fridge. My problem is I normally try and have a really low calorie lunch, so that I can save some calorie allowance for dinner and a snack, however I then end up starving by mid afternoon and end up eating loads in snacks and not feeling satisfied, so the mission is to have a more filling, generous lunch in the hope that I don't snack and can enjoy my dinner.

I'm honestly so great full for you all.
And honestly everyone is so welcome.

Between you and my husband I did my 2K run today when I was going to just put it off.
Like always laundry and other faffing was making it later and later and by 22:00 I said I'd just have a day off! We'd been out for a walk but nothing much.

DH told me no and to go do it now! I bloody love that man.

@Unicorn34 I am so so sorry to hear about your cat. After 18 years I can imagine how you're feeling. They are sp incredibly special.
You must br kind to yourself but you absolutly do have it! We all do, this time is the time.

@pumpkintits every part of that sounds delicious and I am so jealous!

I am disgusted with myself. At 15 stone 8 I am a full stone heavier than at full term with any of my pregnancies. I am 5ft 4. I have never been slim - I have lipeodema - but since menopause and antidepressants I have put on 2 stone. I am 53.

I have done every diet there is. Slimming world dominated my 20s and 30s. I have gone low carb and done the keto bootcamp. I have the fast 800 books. I have done shakes, vlcd, Jane plan. I know how to lose weight. I don't know why I can't sustain weight loss.

Last diet I did was an 800 calorie vlcd and I shifted 20lb very quickly, and put it all back on literally in the space of 2 months. I don't eat vast quantities. I do eat too often and too late in the day. I am sure I have insulin resistance too.

I have one month left of Jane plan (which has done nothing for me). I will stick to it better. I have booked for a virtual gastric band hypnotherapy series of sessions. Jane plan I don't really like as I prefer low carb WOE. Once this month is over I will go back to real food, low carb. I don't buy any low fat alternatives any more and try to avoid UPF as we have ibd in the family.

I want to lose 3 stone to get back to 12.5 stone. Yes that is still an overweight weight for my height, but it's the weight I was throughout my 30s and early 40s before perimenopause added a stone and then antidepressants added 2 stone.

I have weaned off the antidepressants.

Can I join? 1.5 stone off by Xmas...
