Bowels during weight loss

Morning

I have been eating lots healthier and tracking calories for around 2.5 months and am losing weight steadily 19 pounds so far but have lots
more to go.
My bowels used to be super regular each morning before breakfast when I was eating all kinds of rubbish but now is far less so and missed two days this weeks… I’m eating so much more veg and fruit and am drinking more water so am confused as to why this is?
Any ideas?

Your system takes a while to get used to the new diet. The microbiome that digests your food has to completely change.

I eat kiwi with the skin on now- it's surprisingly nice, just remove the ends and chop into fruit salad or cereal.

Try adding some pulses. Vegetables are great but your body is missing the bulk from cereals like bread.

Thanks-will give pulses a go!

It’s the volume and why so many constipated people are very thin.

Some calorie counters also track fiber (and other stuff like protein fat carbs vitamins and minerals).

I make sure I eat fiberous things as well as healthy things. Pears, kiwi fruits. Lots of green veg and legumes.

Also, you may just be eating less, so not have the need to go as often!
