Belly fat in 40s

I've not really put weight on and I'm not overweight (I am v flabby) but my belly and love handles seem to be expanding at an alarming rate!

Anyone had any success with exercise and diet in reducing their belly at this age?!

My guess is your diet is pretty heavy on carbs and sugar/alcohol, would you agree?
Low carb, exercise and good sleep is key

Definitely shit sleep, currently little exercise - I have just been on holiday where all bets were off but also from that I don't drink loads these days. Still probably too much though (say 6 drinks a week) and I do have things like the odd ice cream, chocolate bar or bag of crisps etc so there's definitely room for improvement. I did eat a lot of carbs over winter which did the damage. I don't think I'm putting more on, but I'm definitely not losing it either and it seems like my metabolism has slowed down!

Definitely slows with age, Google pippa Campbell eat right lose weight pdf and see which type you are after taking the quiz. I've found it really helpful and lost a few pounds having been doing it for 10 days

Keto has reduced my waist by 6” in two months. It’s been miraculous to be honest. Like you, I thought it would be impossible at 49.
