Jumping through June

Hi ladies,

Here is the new June thread.

I've actually managed to cut down on carbs over the last few days, not out but down and I've managed to lose two and a half pounds since the weekend. I know it will be water but I feel as if I might be getting on the right trap. So this morning I weighed in at 9st1.25. I'm going to be ambitious for once (yes I know its only three and a bit pounds) and aim for 8st12 by the end of June.

Well done everyone, sounds like you have all had good weeks!
I've kept up my exercise this week but food/diet hasn’t been the best! I will weigh at the end of the month

mikado1 · 23/06/2023 11:56

Brilliant swallowedafly and octopus!

Nojumpingorrunning · 23/06/2023 17:26

I forgot to weigh myself this morning! So will do it tomorrow

today I have had in an 8 hour window:

couple handfuls of fruit & nut mix
greek yoghurt with strawberries and blueberries
goats cheese & beetroot salad with 3 little chunks of sourdough and butter
2 chocolate digestives
2 squares dark chocolate
glass of semi skimmed milk

swallowedAfly · 24/06/2023 08:07

Down another half pound today. 🤞it keeps coming off now I’m out of stuck mode.

Just booked flights so that should help motivation.

Have a good weekend everyone-set to be roasting here.

ScottishBeth · 26/06/2023 08:07

Well done @swallowedAfly Where are you going on holiday?

@Nojumpingorrunning are you happy with how you're doing? At some point soon I'm going to switch to Greek yoghurt. If I'm hungry in the evening I often have yoghurt and fruit - I figure the protein and fibre is so much more filling. Greek yoghurt is even better so you're doing well!

71.2kg this morning. That is a small gain of 400g in the past week. It's been a bit of a stressful and busy week so I'm not too worried. Though it means I probably won't meet my goal of being 69.8kg by next week. Not to worry, a week later won't hurt.

Nojumpingorrunning · 26/06/2023 12:46

@ScottishBeth not especially, there has been a lot of biscuits involved! I have lost 1.5lbs in first week. So a loss but not a lot. Going to try to go for fruit more often than biscuits this week! You have lost an amazing amount!!

ScottishBeth · 26/06/2023 13:58

A 1.5lb loss in a week is really good! Too quick a weight loss is not sustainable. You've done well!

Yeah, I'm really pleased with my weight loss over all (despite a small gain this week). I am feeling really positive about it, and about keeping it off once I'm done.

Nojumpingorrunning · 27/06/2023 11:14

Yesterday I had…a bad day 😂

tea with a sugar
bag of M&S honey cashews
goats cheese salad with potato salad on the side
a whole (homemade) pizza with pepperoni
strawberries, blueberries and cream
a beer!

I think I’m feeling a bit hormonal, getting that sugar craving, bottomless-pit feeling 🙈😢

LBB2020 · 27/06/2023 12:22

@Nojumpingorrunning i was the same yesterday and went to bed feeling terrible and guilty for it!
Today is a new day! Gym class tonight and sensible eating

Nojumpingorrunning · 27/06/2023 22:42

Today was worse!! Full hormonal mode complete with bloating, sore boobs and the Rage

Still, will remain accountable and depress myself by sharing what I ate. It’s very unhealthy to say the least and contains little actual food 😳

bowl of special k
flapjack
3 crackers with cheese
4 squares dark chocolate
a bar of sea salt milk chocolate
chinese takeaway!! Including prawn crackers!

Will try very hard to get back on track tomorrow!

ScottishBeth · 28/06/2023 15:05

@Nojumpingorrunning it's so difficult isn't it? Just before or during period is a nightmare
Can you plan some healthy food but with a small treat afterwards? Knowing you have something nice to look forward to might help, and if you're full up from healthier food you maybe won't think about food as much. I'm on my period at the moment and the only thing keeping me going is knowing that after my very healthy tea (homemade tagine) I'm having a bit of tiffin.

LBB2020 · 28/06/2023 23:11

The past two days have been much better here! Have been to the gym both days and food has been reasonably decent, I even drank almost 2ltrs of water today!
I agree with @ScottishBeth, I have a really sweet tooth so always allow myself something I fancy after dinner. Usually stops me from snacking in the evening too!
