Hi there, just wondered if anyone is trying Slim Fast for eight loss? Im
on day 3, my weight in on Sunday was 13st 11lb and I’m 5ft4, I’d like to get to 10st and by the summer as I have a wedding to go to and a nice holiday booked.
I'm a very emotional eater, I eat when anxious, down, bored etc, and I also like to eat all of the wrong things and binge.
Im hoping that starting on slim fast will add some structure that I can make a start with.

Anyone want to join me? X

It's absolutely full of sugar. It's awful for you.

You'll just put it all back on when you start eating 'normally' again.

I know this from experience. Multiple times!

You're better off sticking to a set menu.

Breakfast spinach omelette.

Lunch tuna, lightmayo salad.

Dinner roast chicken, salad, veg.

Eat the same for a week if you feel like the ease and repetitiveness of SF would work for you.

I tried and i was just hungry constantly and was eating a meal on top of my meal replacement. I wouldn't recommend. I do intermittent fasting and more or less eat the same 7 meals each week on rotation along with when I eat and it's working for me.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I’m on day 4 and am feeling hungry all the time. Think I’m going to finish this week, maybe do one more week and then replace with food.

As you say I just need to structure at the moment, then think I can move on to a healthier way of dropping the weight x

So first week weight in -8lbs I’m planning on doing it another week, and then will integrate with healthy meals.

I think you probably know that you're going to need to examine the emotional eating and try and reduce that. 3.5 stone for the summer is too fast. One to 1.5 would be reasonable and sustainable.

Badgerandfox227 · 24/03/2023 07:22

Yes absolutely to this. I’m nearly 2 weeks through and have managed to stick to it so far, which is the longest I’ve stuck at anything for at least 3 years. I have a lot going on in personal life at the moment and with work and don’t feel in control, but I think where slim fast is helping is that it’s very structured. We’ll see what the next weigh in looks like.

I'm watching with interest. Im on day 2. I have a very hectic schedule and sometimes struggle to plan meals and eat the way I should so I'm hoping the simplicity of the plan will help me. Good luck!
