How long until Saxenda kicks in?

Ok so I only took my first dose (0.6) this afternoon, I'm fully aware it's a process etc, and am not looking for a quick fix or anything like that.
I was wondering though, how long it takes for the appetite suppressant effects to kick in? Asking because I am absolutely starving bloody hungry despite eating sensibly today. I thought maybe it might have even increased my appetite somehow?? can't find any information about this so wondering if anyone here has used it and has any insight!

Have you tried eating? it doesn’t really suppress your appetite but rather you’ll feel full very quick , after few mouthfuls

Sorry i didn’t see you’ve eaten already , for me it started giving me the ”sickish” feeling after about 3 doses

@pompei8309 I've had my dinner since then, plus small desert, then a fillet of fish because I was still so hungry 😂 I'm hoping this is just some random coincidence rather than a side effect!

Mine was the first day I used it - but it's got to be paired with sensible eating and a bit of mind power too, half of my eating was habit and that was hard to break even when feeling full.

I think it's working pretty well now. I'm definitely less hungry, especially in the mornings and during the day. I do still get a bit hungry at night but then I always have done, it didn't seem as bad last night though.

That’s great. I am starting tonight. Will be good to have a buddy along the way.

Have got to say , I’m feeling pretty rough today. Nausea and headache . Aswell as starving. Has it settled for you?

I've been on this for a week now and have lost 6lbs! It is so strange how I have literally stopped thinking about food and have to remind myself to eat!

Please can this be me. About to have my 2nd injection. I feel awful and I’m starving!!

I have had a bit of nausea and been a bit lethargic. It normally feels worse when I haven't eaten for a while. It feels a bit similar to the 1st trimester of pregnancy thankfully not as bad though! Im hoping it settles down! My appetite really has decreased though and I really wasn't arsed about carbs yesterday. Though today I have been craving chocolate so I'm wondering if Im approaching my period. Hope the symptoms settle down for you! I was initially really hungry too but that went away quickly.

I think I might be someone who is st see the real affects until I go up a dose. X

The nausea seems to have gone now, along with my appetite 😀 seems to be going really well at the moment. I'm still craving chocolate and sugar but it turns out I was right about my period being on the way, so at least that explains it. Even so it's not the massive carb fest my periods usually are.
