Starting my Slimfast diet on Tuesday. I've ordered loads of powders and their snack products. I really really want to loose a stone. Any advice or success stories welcomed!

Day 2 done... I'm aiming for a month as a reset. It hasn't been too bad apart from I have a lot of wind. Does anyone know if this will calm down?

@MercuryRising i find the wind calms down when you have one shake a day rather than 2! I’ve lost 1kg, just 2 more to go! It’s been so slow that I’d be happy to lose another and maintain for a bit 😂

I've had to take a break from it,as it's giving me diarrhoea! Will have another go in a few days.

Oh no Beautiful3 hope it eases. Day 4 for me and I have been less hungry. I'm really hoping it isn't a fluke and my body is adjusting to the lack of constant biscuits.

I'm doing a protein shake diet of sorts, coffee for breakfast, double shake for lunch, snacks of banana, yoghurt, something small and then regular dinner. I've done two days and feeling in the zone with this weight loss thing. I've 14 lbs to lose :)

Reviving the thread!
I'm having two shakes a day, and then a regular meal. I don't have the energy or time to make myself a separate meal and my family are all very fussy with meals
Snacks are fruit, or low cal crisps.
Recently been diagnosed with T1 diabetes and the weight gain is so depressing. I was a little overweight before and I also have pcos. Antidepressants are also contributing to the weight gain. Seeing the dietician tmrw so I really hope she doesn't warn me off the shakes. Like lots of other pp the convenience of a shake seems like the only way I can control the calories.
9st 12 starting weight...for someone that is 4"11 that's not ideal

I believe it’s made from whey protein so there is not much you can do to avoid this if you are sensitive - I didn’t realise I had a whey protein problem until I drank it and it gives me horrendous upset stomach and excessive gas. Don’t add cows milk to it this will make it worse if you are sensitive. I can only drink pea protein with almond milk. Don’t over stock on SF products until you know you can tolerate it

@Peachyscream Gosh this beings back memories of when I did slimfast. I did lose a stone in about 8 weeks. But I had the most horrific wind and diarrhea. Ditched it to calorie count instead, which works great.

Anyone still doing it? I restarted again recently as I’ve had some success before and now I have a bub and really appreciate the convenience of being able to have a shake while he has his lunch/breakfast and I do the dishwasher or washing

Hi Laura. I know your post is old now but can I ask how you got on with the slimfast plan? Also, I hope you incorporated healthy fats, as butter for example, isn't the enemy. Sugar is though. Our brains are encased in at least 70% fat so we need good fats! Proper butter, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil etc.
