I am looking to start a thread/group/whatsapp group (?) of accountability buddies. I really need to try something I haven’t tried before. (I will probably get all self-conscious and embarrassed and try to delete this thread tomorrow).
I’m 40, 5’3” and BMI 38, and 30% body fat. I am also breastfeeding my 5 month old baby, so I am not looking to go on any restrictive diet and an insane fitness regime. In fact, after 20 years of going up and down, completely damaging my relationship with food, and killing any joy I got out of exercising I’m ready to admit this approach doesn’t work.
I’d like to be guided by the principles of intuitive eating and joyful movement. I want to be healthy for my daughter and that also involves a healthy relationship with food.
I’d like a group/thread where we post all our meals (I can’t exactly bore all my friends with it or lose all my insta followers) and report any physical activity and discuss how we feel about all of it.
It’s ok if others want to have a more regimented approach to it, count macros or calories, follow some meal plans, that’s all ok. I can keep you accountable. I also know a LOT about nutrition and happy to share and work on meal plans etc (I really enjoy creating meal plans). I just wouldn’t want anyone to follow any drastic fad diets with lots of exclusions, or use lots of negative self-talk (talking about being ‘bad’, having ‘cheat’ days etc). I’d want it to be a positive, happy group focused on improving our health and permanently changing habits that are damaging to us, but still keeping us all accountable to each other on a daily basis.
Is there anyone that would like to join me?
