Starting Slimming World for the first time ever...

Evening all.

I am currently weighing in at 15 stone 10 - the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I did WW 10 years ago and successfully lost over 4 stone, and back then I was 2 stone lighter than I currently am.

I need a plan to follow and am going to start Slimming World. This is completely new to me! I am sure I'll be able to pick it up easily, but are there any good free online resources / bloggers etc which I can follow for recipe inspiration etc?

Also, if you have a SW success story then please inspire me!! I have tried CC in the past but I just couldn't maintain it for longer than a few weeks.

Thanks in advance.

I'm starting tomorrow! How has your week been?

I started 4 weeks ago, joined my local group. First two weeks I lost 3.5lbs and this week I put back on 2lbs all together! If you fully follow you will lose-and you need a good prep for the following week, which I am rubbish at and also I am a self saboteur too so that's the reason I am failing right now. I will carry on until I stop sabotaging myself

5 stone down, 1.5 has crept back on because I haven't been following it at all, but I am back on and its slowly coming off again.

Dont go in for all the crap such as making haribos with muller lights and gelatine, tortilla chips out of lasagne sheets.

When you follow it sensibly its lots of fruit, veg and lean meat, and a limited amount of bread/dairy and very little processed stuff.

I buy packs of seasoning kits from JD seasonsings (lots of discounts on their social media pages) which have SW friendly recipes, and they are bloody tasty.

Good luck!

Good luck.
I love slimming world I've a stone off so far in 7 weeks.
I found meal planning helps so my freezer is full of meals breakfast lunch and dinner so I can grab something quickly.
Lots of nice fruit at home.
I've joined a few times and I find it's working better for me this time than any other time because I'm conscious of calories as well. I don't actively calorie count but I'm aware that if I'm choosing between 2 items to go for the lower calorie one even if the syns are the same or they are both free food.

I also drink lots of water and make sure it actually measure out your Healthy Extras.

Also fill in a food plan if you are busy use the app.
Good luck
