What's Everyone's Preferred Weight Loss Method

Out of interest - what has everyone had the most success with weight loss wise?

I'm currently pregnant (due in January) so not looking to start until after the baby is here but then - I am on it!

I've a good 4 stone to lose and will give myself a year to hit that target (before my 40th Birthday).

I've tried Slimming World multiple time but never stick to it (my husband hated it so makes meals at home hard).

I'm inclined to go with good old calorie counting (using MFP) and getting into the gym.

I calorie count using MFP.

For me it's drastically reduce refined carbs and sugar, loads of veg and more protein and fat. Keeps me full and blood sugar stable.

Only nuts and raisins or peanut butter on apple for snacks.

So breakfast eggs/ greek yoghurt/ chicken sausages

Lunch chicken salad/ tuna salad

Dinner - whatever but small portion of carbs subbed with extra veg. Eg meatballs &half wholeweat pasta half courgetti.

Also swapped out desserts/ treats for 2 squares of dark choc. Milk
Chocolate tastes too sweet for me
Now.

Calorie counting and weighing myself every day. Every time I go to eat something I shouldn’t I think of the numbers in the scale going up.

I also try not to have unhealthy snack foods in the house at all.

Are you planning to breastfeed? I found Slimming World good when breast feeding, but it’s not a good long term solution.
