I would like to lose at least 1/2 (maybe more) stone but my will power is rubbish

the last time I managed to lose weight significantly at least 5 years ago was by calorie counting and logging everything on MFPal.

I’m starting again today. Not sure what the point of this post is apart from document if my resolve

Definitely helps to tell someone that you're doing it, even if you're just talking into the abyss of the internet - adds some accountability somehow? Or maybe just cements your commitment to doing it by putting it into words.

Good luck OP :) I was somewhat horrified when I stepped on the scales back in April and am pleased with the weight I've lost since, although it's been a very bumpy road 😂

I've found Noom quite good - have you trie that? Basically calorie counting like My Fitness Pal but with psychology based articles to read each day. I found it useful being able to label certain food-related behaviours I was doing, or even just being told it's normal that your motivations ebbs and flows and it's not the end of the world if you do scoff that family size bag of crisps. Not intended to be a sales pitch 😂 just something I found useful, and they do a two week free trial (you can keep using the app for food logging after that). Just make sure you cancel before the trial ends because it's bloody expensive otherwise!
