Anyone wants to join me in 30 days of no chocolate, biscuits, sweets, crisps, basically i will try to avoid foods containg more than 5g of sugar per 100g. I have been out of control again and need to reset my taste as have been craving sugar all the time.

I would like to try!

Start Monday?

I have a packet of Celebrations I need to finish first 😳

FLOWER1983 · 29/05/2022 09:04

Yes Monday, just finished off chocolate buttons so have no more chocolate in the house

Just wanted to wish you both luck, I’m 15 months sugar free now. I feel so much better.

I'll join, I have zero self control, so hopefully we can spur each other on

I did this once 6 years ago now and lost 12lbs in the 30 days!

i am definitely up for it, but not until tomorrow!

How are you doing?

I was really tempted by a biscuit this morning but resisted and I managed to pick up some things from the supermarket without buying myself any treats.

I think for me, it's just a bad habit. I mindlessly eat treats and sugar for no reason whatsoever. Just because it's there, I guess.

I haven't had anything sweet from yesterday morning, which is good considering i have about 10 bars of 90% dark chocolate in the cupboard. Yes for me its also just a habit, i have a bit and then just carry on ,not even thinking about it, just need to break this circle and go back to just having a bit of dark chocolate after dinner. I haven't been this bad for years, it started it lockdown and then it just got worse. I have done Sarah Wilson program 'i quit sugar 'about 10 years ago and that really reset my taste .

I’m only giving up junk food, not full sugar. So I have had a banana today, and I’ll also allow smoothies / fruit juice (occasionally).

normally school holidays I find quite difficult but been busy today so it’s been ok. I had poached egg on toast for breakfast, a jacket potato with Mediterranean vegetables, chorizo and cheese and because i was already cutting all of that up, I just did loads more and put it into a pasta bake (homemade sauce) for dinner. And as I say, a banana for snack as we have a late dinner today as I won’t be home until about 6:30 and then need to bung it in the oven to heat through.

No sugar since last night here. I'm even having a coffee right now sugar free. Just added extra milk to make it taste creamier.

FLOWER1983 · 03/06/2022 14:42

How is everyone doing? I have managed to avoid the sugar except for a few pieces of 90% dark chocolate so not too bad by my standards.

Hi, well done op. I've not had any sugar since Sunday night. But that's because I haven't been anywhere where someone was serving a homemade cake.... always my downfall.

I don't keep much in the way of sugary eats at home, so all I'm craving is jam on my toast.
