I’m half way there!

I don’t have any friends I can share this with and my husband is probably sick of hearing it for the millionth time this morning but I’ve hit the half way point to my weight loss goal and I am so proud of myself!

I gained 6 stone while pregnant and in the first 6 months postpartum, and today I can officially say I’ve lost 3. Only 3 to go. It’s been a really hard slog and I’ve fallen off the wagon many times but I’m determined to continue.

Wishing everyone here love and kindness on their weight loss journey, it is HARD! Keep going!

Yes!! Go you! That's amazing! Keep going, you can do it - congratulations 🥳

I'm on week two of an NHS weight loss course so miles behind you and can't wait to make a similar post to yours!

HungryHungryHaesten · 23/05/2022 11:41

Thank you so much @OldTinHat!

That’s amazing that you’ve taken the step and started the course, well done you! I hope it’s going well?

One of the things I’ve tried to do differently this time (I’ve tried to lose weight many times!) is just to be kinder to myself. A new day can always be a new start if today didn’t go the way I wanted it to. You have totally got this, good luck!

That's great advice!

I lost 5st about six years ago over a year and a half and then put 6st back on. Sigh. I lost 9lb at the weigh in at the end of week one which was alarming, reckon about 2lbs this week according to my scales - roll on Wednesday!

How are you managing to do so well? Apart from being kind to yourself, what's your secret? You've done so amazingly well! Woohoooo! Your celebration dance will have killed a few calories too!

congratulations op x

Thank you all!

@OldTinHat I’ve been doing intermittent fasting and also couch to 5k. I’ve also cut out all the junk I was eating, which was a lot. If I’m honest with myself I’m such an emotional eater and I can completely spiral. So I just don’t have it in the house in large quantities because if something goes wrong for me I will 100% eat my feelings and find it really hard to stop. I do allow myself a small treat most days but am learning to have one and then stop!

Congratulations. Well done to you. I am just a week into my 'this can't go on' state of mind but I'm really pleased with how it is going.
