Therapy - Binge Eating

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had any kind of February for binge eating? Or even hypnosis?

I've hit a low point today and realised I definitely need some kind of help but equally don't want to waste my money and time.

Thanks.

Hi OP,

This page might be helpful to you

www.beateatingdisorders.org.uk/get-information-and-support/about-eating-disorders/downloads-resources/

I am have BED and am in recovery. It’s meant a lot of looking at feelings and mental health.

id also thoroughly recommend a book by Dr Chris Fairburn about Binge Eating as it helped me make sense of a lot of stuff.

My colleague has had hyno gastric banding and said that it’s taken a while to kick in. I am a binge eater and CBT was useful for me to manage some of emotions in other ways rather than directing them internally into/onto myself
good luck

Thank you both.

@WilmaFlintstone1 I'll order that book today. Congratulations on being in recovery.

@Menora I have been reading about CBT today so am definitely going to look into it.
