Tips to stop boredom eating junk

Has anyone got any tips to stop boredom eating? Even when I'm full and stuffed I continue to eat chocolate and crisps. One thing I thought of was brushing my teeth in the hope the mint will stop me wanting to eat 😂

Eating something but not junk food. Carrot sticks, apples?

Don’t have it in the house.

Try to avoid having it in the house. When in trouble I find a can of the diet extra strong Jamaican ginger beer helps as it packs quite a punch so my tastebuds reel a bit afterwards.

Eat chilli pickled gherkins. Or chew airwaves gum.

As others have said, don't have it in the house to begin with.

I read on another thread that some one was tempted and she has to have snacks in for the children. I didn't comment but I really disagree with having crisps, chocolates, biscuits, and highly processed sugar snacks such as milky bar deserts in 'for the kids'. I'm not saying don't ever eat them, that would be daft, but in our house they were never bought as standard. We literally had them for a treat. Occasionally I'd ask DH to pick something up on the way home from work for all of us. If they were in all the time they don't become a treat and become expected.

^ this. If you have to have some snacks in for other household members have things you really dislike

Also, read a book about intermittent fasting or whole food nutrition: understanding how these foods negatively impact your health will put you off junk & snacking in general ( i recco why my we eat too much here)
