I've been fat most of my life bordering on 12,13,14 stone just going up and down. I'm 5:5 so while no gigantically obese still obese.
I'm a gastric band fail at 60, I had one a few years ago, lost a fair bit of weight and then put it all back on even though it's really tight.
I don't eat meat at all, never have, I've been to slimming world, have tried exante and never managed to get the weight off.
It's wrecking my life as there is so much I really want to do that I can't.
A male friend who is looking quite buff these days told me he lost all his weight by doing 5:2 but fasting completely on the two days so no food at all.
I thought I'd give it a go and actually the weight is coming right off, I don't find it hard fasting for one day, I don't really feel hungry.
Since doing this I haven't really felt that hungry on my 5 days normal eating either, I think it's because I know I can eat what I want and not calorie count and the weight is definitely coming off.
We'll see what gives but it seems to be sustainable because I hate counting calories and can't be bothered with it all.
Anyone tried this?
