Breakfast - 40g porridge oats with skimmed milk and water

Lunch - 4 wholegrain crackerwheats or ryvitas with light philly, tomatoes and cucumber

Tea - breaded oven baked fish, baked sweet potato and salad

3 cups coffee with skimmed milk
Several cups herbal tea

Thoughts please?

I'd whack it all through my fitness pal but on the surface it looks good to me!

rougemouse · 15/09/2021 15:04

If anything it's a little light

Glaghirl · 15/09/2021 15:06

I think you could do with some protein at lunch but otherwise looks good

PascowV · 15/09/2021 15:06

Sounds like 1100 calories ish?

Bluesheep8 · 15/09/2021 15:15

Thanks all...It's an average day for me. I'm doing 6 - 8k steps.....and not losing anything, well I gain and lose the same 2 pounds every few weeks

What's your BMR? And your TDEE?

NotSure94 · 15/09/2021 15:18

Looks pretty light to me. Depends on portion size of your evening meal but I can't see it being massive! It's annoying isn't it, like our bodies have decided on what weight they will be and it's a bugger to maintain a loss.

Bluesheep8 · 15/09/2021 15:21

I'm not sure how to work those out.
I'm 48 and weigh 10 stone 5, I am 5 ft 6.
Eating this way kept me at 9 atone 6 for years....

I would starve on that little food!
Try doing weights/resistance - i have a small set of weights at home that are great.

waybill · 15/09/2021 15:25

Apart from a bit of salad you haven't got any veg at all in there.

Lose the breadcrumbs from the fish in your evening meal and switch the salad for a big pile of broccoli and carrots.

Thank you - apologies for sounding negative but do you mean lifting weights?

Right I've put your details in & it says this - which means (& it's not gospel but is a point to start at) that by eating 20% less than TDEE, you should lose fat... Have you been logging everything on MyFitnessPal?

@Passthewinebottle

Thank you so much for that, no I just write it all down...Have had WW points in my head for a long long time so use that aswell - what ive posted is actually OVER my WW points allowance, that's what I can't get used to I think.

It's very high in carbs and not much protein. It seems very little, are you hungry on it?

Divebar2021 · 15/09/2021 15:48

Pretty dull isn’t it? All that skimmed milk & low fat cream cheese and salad. I would be upping my protein and veggies. Eggs for breakfast or lunch. You could make soups too and throw in whatever veggies you have. I’m having ramen broth with veggies and chicken.

Onthereabound34 · 15/09/2021 20:43

Very low in fat and protein. I’d be starving hungry. Hopefully you’re taking a vitamin supplement because there doesn’t seem to be many nutrients there.
