I decided to give up on my diet until after christmas. Anyway since then I have been munching on biscuits, cripsts, chocolates and sweets and believe it or not, I'm now losing weight!

My jeans kept falling down today. I think its because I'm not eating proper meals...for breakfast I have a packet of crisps, for dinner a pot noodle and for tea it will be something like processed fish with chips and beans (because I'm skint) yet I'm losing more weight now...feel like crap however but still...

Yes. I think it might be malnutrition!

I have a friend who swears by the kitkat diet. She eat ones for lunch and breakfast and a bowl of green salad for dinner. And the weight drops off her. Of course it does as she's eating no protein and no good fats and very little low-GI carbs. She's not losing fat, but muscle.

You know the answer really. You are losing weight but you will carry on feeling like sh*t until you stop. If you are skint, cook vegetarian food - lentils and veg - rather than chips and processed stuff.

You are losing muscle, as your body isn't getting enough proper food. Fat is only 1/3 of the weight of muscle so the scales will sho that you are indeed much lighter.

Thing is you need muscle to lose weight as muscle uses 100 calories per pound per day - whereas fat uses about 6 calories per pound per day.

So you are depleting your muscle and when you start eating properly you will pile back n the weight on the scales.

If you weigh 10 stones for example and you needed 1400 calories per day to just be alive when you have finished your bingey food stuff diet your body may only need 1200 calories to stay alive as you will be more fat than muscle compared to when you started.

Yoyo diets just dont work
