Switch from WW to no sugar?

I need some help. I'm no losing weight.

Pre lockdown I was steadily at 69kg, which was heavier than I wanted but in the healthy range. I peaked at 75.5kg and have started WW again.

Previously on WW I used to lose weight. But this time I've dropped to 73.4 but have dropped no further (have gained a little) and it's so boring, repetitive food based around chicken breast and no fat yogurt.

I've started logging calories and I'm at the 1100 ish level. Still no weight loss. Agh.

So I wondered about switching to no sugar and refined carbs. I had GD once and was losing weight despite being pregnant with a baby the size of a turkey. (I'd eat porridge, oatcakes etc but no bread, white pasta, potatoes. Snacking on nuts and cheese) I enjoy proper food, cheese, meat etc so think this could work.

Do you think this would work? Help, I need some wise advise as I really want to shift these extra kg

Last year I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes it was the kick up the arse I needed to do something about my weight. I use my fitness pal to track my carbs and calories, I stay within calorie allowance and kept carbs to 100g per day. I ditched white bread, rice & pasta. I still have the occasional biscuit or cake but it’s all logged and stayed within carb limit. To date I’ve lost over 7st and my type 2 is in remission.

Ah, that's really interesting. So up to 100g carb a day, no sugar/low sugar? How long did it take to lose some weight, and how many calories are you eating a day?

Recommended is up to 150g carbs per day. Mine is a lifestyle change so to be able to maintain it long term no food is off the menu I just weigh my portion and log it and stick to my carb limit, so low sugar. In total it took around 10months to lose the weight, some weeks I lost nothing others I lost several pounds.
I answered a few questions in my fitness pal and it set my calorie allowance, I think it was about 1200 a day.
Once I got through the sugar detox, my energy levels increase my appetite decreased and I now can’t believe how big the portions were that I used to eat, I couldn’t manage half of what I used to eat now.
I also increased my exercise, I walk everywhere and drink 8-12 cups of water.
