I know that there have been a couple of threads on this, but they were back in 2017. I have had the book on my shelf for a long time without doing anything about it, but last week, feeling fairly disgusted with myself, decided to bite the bullet and give it a go.
I've been doing it for a week and I feel better, but have had no weight loss. And I am morbidly obese. My dh, on the other hand, has lost half a stone. Have I buggered up my metabolism through years of yoyo dieting?
I know it's not aimed primarily at weight loss, I just feel I should be getting some kind of reward.
Has anyone taken it on board long term?
I do like it (more than I thought I would). The only thing is that most of the recipes are good, but the odd one is dreadful, as though it's not been tested (that goes for the recipe book as well).

Don't look at your DH! Bastards (😁) tend to lose much faster than us. I know😑

I don't know the book so I can't comment there, but helathy gut is super important for immunity and so many other things so there will be rewards, just different ones, I guess.
