Welcome back Hulababy!

LunarSea · 05/11/2004 09:54

Only 0.5lb for me this week - but am actually quite pleased with that after being stupid enough to eat half of ds's teacake on Sunday. I should know by know that ANY wheat means a big instant weight gain and still I do it? Why????

Miam - definately your turn for the poem next week, as I've done TWO this week and am all out of inspiration at the moment.

Well, I thought I only had just over another 2 stone to lose, so to give that a boost (now that new working arrangements mean I'm spending a lot less time travelling) I went and joined a gym this week. Was aiming for just over 11 stone (which is 25bmi for me) - but I thought they might say 10 something as a target. I nearly collapsed when they said 8 something! Not that I'm going to take that too seriously, as having looked it up that's a MINIMUM healthy weight for my height, and I know I've not got the build to ever be that.

Well.. back from hols and have weighed myself.

I've dropped back to a total loss of 9lb... boo hiss... but I have eaten like a pig and drunk like a fish.

Back to being good on Monday... until then, my holiday continues!!

BR

Hi yorkie girl - I 've lost my list of healthy extras- I always do green days because of being veggie fancied a change and can't find my list

roisin · 05/11/2004 21:25

Hi all! I'm maintaining now, so not strictly weighing-in, but I still keep an eye on this to see how you're all doing!

Lunarsea - hope you enjoy the gym. I've been going 3x a week for just 6 weeks, and really enjoying it. I feel a lot more energetic and healthier after just 6 weeks; it's made more difference to the way I feel than 6 months of healthy eating/dieting. Our gym instructors are lovely - hope you've got some nice ones too.

Re target weights - just go for what suits you. I'm 5'5", so my healthy BMI is 8.8 - 10.10. I thought 9.7 seemed about right - half-way-ish, but I just can't maintain that without being on an incredibly strict diet all the time. But 9.12 is quite attainable for me, so that's what I'm aiming to stick to. If it comes down a bit as I get fitter, then great!

Meant to say, DH has tinkered with the spreadsheet and I've sent it back to you Yorkiegirl.

Well done everyone!!!
