Keep seeing ads for it. Has anyone tried it and was it any good?

Can't find anything about what you can eat but understand it's a lot about changing habits and how you think about food. Can you eat pretty much normal food?

Nope, but sat here watching.

Yeah and it did nothing for me. Then again I know the theory of the emotional side of eating - from years of trying to fight it! - so I didn’t learn anything. For me it did seem very basic, the language was very irritating and I didn’t think it was worth the money. I only did about 3 weeks.

Yes, did around 4 months, and I found that was enough.

It is very focussed on changing habits, being mindful of how you eat, and having a pretty simple approach to how to eat. Had a lot of behavioural science behind it, and personally I found it incredibly helpful. BUT it is pricey for an online app, similar price to slimming world, and 8t did start to get a bit samey with the daily check in guidance. It also requires a big time dedication as there is a lot to read and digest, its definitely a cerebral approach!

I found I eat a lot better, I did lose weight, but most importantly my sugar cravings have completely gone and other poor eating like binging in front of the TV of an evening.

I would recommend it, especially if you've been round the houses diet wise, it helped me realise I have to eat a lot less calories 1400 per day in my case - so now thats a life style I need to follow, but don't need noom for that.

And yes, you eat normal food, but realise its a conscious choice between a bowl of strawberries or 100ml of hagendaaz (exaggerating a bit, but not alot!)

Tried it, found all the acronyms really annoying and fell behind with the daily lessons. My accountability mentor was so slow to respond and sounded like a bot. I did learn more about calorie counting, how to go for water rich food etc and lost a bit of weight but I put it back on after. Now trying to focus on longer term healthy eating habits using Pinch of Nom cookbooks and MFP to log calories as it has a better food database.

Yes. its annoying, overpriced and did nothing for me. current having much success with pahla b (free) on you tube

I did the free trial for two weeks and to be honest it has actually helped me break my habit of snacking in the evening. I don't snack any other time as I'm busy during the day. I'm stopping it as I've not got a lot to lose and I'm happy to maintain the 1lb a week loss through not snacking.

BorderlineHappy · 01/03/2021 22:12

Im doing it at the minute. But it feels like its speaking to me like a child.
I dont think im going to stick with it.Cancel before i get charged full whack.

treenu · 01/03/2021 22:21

I'll go against the grain here. I using it and yeah it's quite cheesy but it's making me re-evaluate what I eat.

I like that you can start anew each day and it's all about building healthy habits.

The price wasn't so much a factor - I'm paying less than I would to WW or SW. paying up front has made me more determined.

Now that I'm in my group I quite like it. I've been put in a group with lots of people in a similar situation to me - feeling a bit helpless working and having small children.

I could get the same from mfp but I don't alway have the discipline.

whiteroseredrose · 01/03/2021 22:25

It was a bit (lot) too American for me. I found the daily 'exercises' irritating but there are some good ideas in there.
