How to stop self sabotage

Any tips to help stop overeating? I keep exceeding my calories and macros. I'm very active, but I'm trying to lose that last half a stone/improve my muscle definition and it's just not clicking for me mentally at the moment.

I previously have got a dress I couldn't get into and left it hung out on display to remind myself what I was aiming for.

3 tips:

  • Plan your meals and snacks
  • Don't let yourself get so hungry you cannot make good decisions
  • And for same reason - no drinking!

Thanks both if you. I do plan meals, don't get over hungry re: decisions and don't drink anyway. I feel as though my normal resolve has yet to click "on". I'm not someone who lets a bad day become a bad week because it's already gone wrong iyswim. I'm wondering if the fact I'm doing more walking is generally making me more hungry in which case a low cal, high protein snack could work.

I have to be proper nasty with myself. At the start it was "being fat is no longer an option so eating this is not and option" "do you want to be fat or fit into that nice dress upstairs"

Stop stocking key trigger foods in the house (chocolate biscuits, chorizo, ham). If you must stock them in the house do something to make them difficult to get hold of, like in a box in a box above the cupboard. The time it takes you to get them gives you time to reconsider your choices.

Some treats I found I could stock without eating and having these treats helped me not have trigger foods.
