Need to seriously loose weight like about 5 stone or so as bmi has crept over 40 , I have been eating less , generally no breakfast or at most cereal bar , then sandwhich lunch or a cupoa soup , then evening meal . Still wasn't loosing weight, gone iff rails with xmas and take aways but need to restart tomorrow.
I have bought some scales and going to weigh weekly , is any advice on how to use a calorie count app easily ?

I like my fitness pal. I keep my recipes for freezer food and so it's easy to log.

So I don't have to faff about before every food, I pre plan the evening before. Then go by it like following recipe, just amend where needed.

It took few weeks of annoyance, but it gets easier once your favourotes are saved and you get hang of it.

Second my fitness pal... almost all prepared food are in there, if I make something (eg a veggie chilli) I will enter that and use the calories of a bought/restaurant/someone else’s recipe if it looks about right

It’s very quick to use as I tend to eat a lot of similar meals on rotation (2-3 breakfasts 90% of time, most families cook 8-10 meals regularly etc)

You can also just add eg 500 calories if it’s something too complicated to bother entering (eg a meal from a buffet)

If I use the app I do lose weight as tracking stops me snacking Grin

You might find it better to weigh daily & average it out over the week - using MFP or several other apps

Btw - it seems like you eat very little unless dinner v calorific?
