You ever just think Christ I'm fat?

I am getting so fat. I was 15st 8lbs at the beginning of 2020. My heaviest ever. I lost some weight at the beginning of the year, and stuck to it until around May, then I think that I just lost motivation. Gradually putting it back on, and I'm around 14 and a half stone now. Just looked down at my huge stomach and wobbled the flab on my legs. I wish that I had the motivation to stop eating crap.
Sorry, I don't really have a point. Just feeling shite, and need to be inspired again.

Yep. New Year’s Eve 2018. I was several glasses of fizz in, sat in my PJ’s with my podge straining the elastic, mindlessly eating crisps, chocolate & whatever else we had in the house & vowed this was it. No more.

I stepped on the scales at the start of the New year and logged back onto My Fitness Pal. DH now moans I’m too skinny Grin

cactusdog · 02/12/2020 21:48

Yes me 😭 I just have no motivation. I eat constantly and I so want to lose weight!

DigitalChristmas · 02/12/2020 21:54

Yes me, I’ve never felt skinny. Just feel huge, and with winter in full swing and gyms closed I don’t know how I’m going to get on top of things.

blubberball · 02/12/2020 22:04

@LadyFeliciaMontague Well done for turning things around!

@cactusdog Same

All day every day. Just can’t seem to do anything about it.

SilverOtter · 02/12/2020 22:08

Yup me tooSad

mummax3 · 02/12/2020 22:10

Hugs! Me too! This past year has been hard for us all. I broke my ankle last year and put on mega weight in just 3 months, then lockdown came as I started to walk again! I'm on slimming world but finding it so hard as I'm defo an emotional eater!

sparkle789 · 02/12/2020 22:15

All the time. Thinking about Food dieting and weight all the time. I’m obsessive but stuck in a restrict/binge cycle. Desperate to lose weight for physical and mental health but can’t ever manage it.

DontBeShelfish · 02/12/2020 22:23

Oh God, me. I'm the heaviest I've ever been outside of pregnancy and I can't bear it, but equally I can't find the motivation. Had just started to do C25k just before lockdown and then just couldn't face it, when ironically that probably would've been the best time to do it.

blubberball · 03/12/2020 06:47

@mummax3 I broke my foot this year too! It definitely didn't help.

Yep, I can definitely binge eat alright. I still don't eat until 10am, which is a left over from intermittent fasting. I tend to keep certain habits left over from previous health kicks. I only tend to drink water and green tea, I only eat whole meal bread, and not much of it. I still eat a fuck load of crisps, cake and chocolate though. Can't seem to shake that one.

It will come when you will crack it. Honestly.

And yes. When I pass mirror. Not when I look at myself. My brain, bar few little flash moments refuses to acknowledge the fat unless it's confronted with it in a mirror. It's some odd for of denial. Even when my furniture bloody squeeked underneat me😂

IRunLikeJoeBiden · 03/12/2020 08:47

Oh yes, when I ran naked up the stairs and the sound was like several hams being slapped violently together. Grin

muddledmidget · 03/12/2020 11:15

Yes, I'm sat here now trying to get dressed for work, but hardly anything in my wardrobe fits me. My bras are too small so any jumpers that do fit me show back fat rolls and 4 boobs. My belly feels uncomfortable in every pair of trousers. I've just checked on my fitness pal and I've put on a stone since 18th April.

But I don't seem to be able to do a thing about it. Nothing stops me eating crap, and moving more in the winter is torture even with a treadmill in the spare room!

I've picked out an outfit so I'm off to work via M&S to get a sports bra that actually does up so I can go to the gym on Monday....

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 03/12/2020 13:05

About ten years ago, yes. I was seriously unimpressed with myself. Got my shit together and eventually got somewhere close to where I need to be.

There's still a bit of work to be done but.... it's better than it was Blush

WomanFriday · 03/12/2020 13:33

Yep. I’m a before picture with no after.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 03/12/2020 18:08

@NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace
I always remembered you when I needed motivation!

Danni91 · 03/12/2020 18:51

Put on 2 stone since March when i had my third baby. I was overweight already.
Bugs me every day but its all alcohol and convenient food. Lots of cheese.
I need an entire lifestyle change and seeing as ive been on maternity all through the pandemic im absolutely dreading seeing anyone ever again.
I cant find motivation past day 3. I go in too hard and give up too fast

blubberball · 04/12/2020 00:58

Congratulations on your baby @Danni91. I know what you mean about giving up on day 3. Maybe make one small change, rather than going too hard, then come to see us for motivation on day 3, then one more small change etc.

Don't know why I'm saying that. I can't even get started. I'm going shopping tomorrow, so will try to buy less crap.

@NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace That's amazing progress! Well done! I'm still on the before pic stage too.

Thank you so much, shes lovely and shes my last baby! 2 boys & a girl.

Ive always been an all or nothing person and i dont really know how to do halfs!
My partner says the same to me every time i say 'ok im doing this!' He is always saying...'why dont you do one this week and add in something else next week....' (he properly hates when i get all hangry!)
He is supportive but its a state of mind isnt it?

I lost 4 stone and kept it off for 2 years but then found a less active job and since then ive just gained it back.

I would like a friend that's into some sport we could do together but i always hit dead ends. Theyre either lets go to nandos or why dont you join me on this 10k run? Grin
