Just 5lbs, why oh why!

I successfully lost 70lbs years ago, and kept it off. I took up running, yoga, HIIT and weights (not at once...). My goal loss was actually 85lbs but I just plateaued and stayed at 70lb loss!

My lockdown goal (in March) was to finally shift the last 15lbs, and I managed, by June, to lose 10lbs. Hurrah!

But the last 5 lbs is evading me!! It's so frustrating, despite doing my best. I track everything, I don't eat back exercise kcals and rarely drink, I exercise lots (I have gained some muscle, I think).

I know 5lbs might seem daft to get so frustrated about but it's really important to me to do it. Any tips? Maybe I'll just have to go hungry for a month!! Ah!

Five days eating just eggs will shift the last five pounds. Two eggs for breakfast, two for lunch and two for supper for five days. It's not sustainable for longer.

Would it pile back on as soon as I started eating normally again do you think? Normally not a fan of anything extreme or crash dietesque!

Could be worth a shot though...

Well I did it to get into a dress for a particular date and wasn't overly bothered if it stayed off. I don't weigh myself much but I think it probably stayed off for about a month, but I wasn't dieting IYSWIM

Was a med student friend of mine who told me about it. Protein based diets are better than 'crash' ones apparently

After five days just eating eggs, I wouldn’t want to go out on a date with anyone. Unfortunate side effects!

Op come to the vanity pounds thread. We’re all trying to lose small amounts and we’re a friendly bunch. Mostly through just exercise and eating more healthily.
