Weight loss when you can’t exercise?

Hi everyone, I’m a bit of a lurker having used this board for inspiration to shift a stone since January mainly through exercise and mindful eating.
I got down just into a healthy BMI at 11st 4 with a goal weight of 10st, but six weeks ago I broke my leg quite badly and my activity levels have obviously plummeted.
To start with I didn’t have much appetite, but now I’m feeling better my appetite has returned and coupled with the lack of movement and eating through sheer boredom, i’m worried my weight is creeping back upwards again.
I’m hoping that work will let me return soon and that the routine will stop the boredom snacks, but has anybody got any tips for getting back to it?
Its like I don’t know how to motivate myself without the exercise element. Before I would have gone for a run and the endorphins / competitiveness of trying to beat my time would give me the willpower to eat healthily, now I’m just saying sod it and eating all the chocolate!
I don’t actually know what I weigh currently because I can’t balance well enough to stand on the scales, but I’m feeling fat and useless enough to want to make a change. Thanks in advance.

I saw great results very quickly with no exercise on Fast 800. It is far easier to lose weight by calorie restriction than calorie burning and in fact dr mosley explains this in his book and in a youtube lecture. It just takes too much energy to see weight loss from working out so the best way is to attack the body from 2 points, one that you restrict calories, 2 that you control insulin so you burn fat. When you combine low calorie low carb meal with fasting you see such fast results. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I do 16/8 intermittent fasting. I've noticed that I snack much less.

I use my fitbit to log my calories and its worked brilliantly for me. I'm less tempted by snacks when I have to log them! I've set up a calorie deficit of 250 calories per day which allows me to lose weight slowly but steadily.

When I broke my ankle I did YouTube sessions that are aimed at people who have broken legs. There is stuff you can do. I actually had abs.

Omg @LaLoose why on earth didn’t I think of that! Will definitely be looking up YouTube workouts now.
I don’t have the willpower to cut calories that low, I’m pretty consistent at 1,700 and loose weight at this level with exercise.
Can anyone recommend a good fitness watch that is compatible with Strava?

Easily done - you've had a lot on your plate!

Caroline Jordan was the lady I followed mostly, but there are loads of choices. Good luck!

I lost the majority of 70 lbs without any exercising, I was very unfit! I didn't have the confidence to workout until I was slimmer.

It's all about diet so get that right, focus on your macros and kcals, and you can introduce exercise again when you're ready :)
