So I’m 4 stone overweight. A combo of babies, hating exercise (have done since school), a love of wine and not actually eating too badly, just not moving enough.

I’m 40 next year. My bmi has just tipped into ‘obese’. I’m terrified about the Covid link. I want to do something for me. I’m sick of looking and feeling like this.

So I’ve got a PT class in an hour. I’m dressed, new trainers, all the gear and I just don’t think I can do it. I am so unfit!! Seriously unfit.

Help! Any positive stories? Please!!

Good job!

I can absolutely confirm the saying of
In 2 months you will feel it, in 4 months you will see it, in 6 months you will hear it😁
Remember that when you feel like you are not making progress. And you will.

In few weeks you will suddenly start realising small things like walking up the stairs and not being breathless (if you are now), not needing breaks like you did etc. Fitness level makes unbelievable difference to daily life.

One I remember was when I was changing beds and did it at once with no break😱 Sounds like nothing but it was actually a big whoop.

Hope your exercise class went well @Whirlwind14!

I'm in the same boat, desperate to lose weight after the DC, always used to be fit and active but being stuck at home with small DC has demoralised me Sad the health aspects bother me too and I just don't want to be fat and mumsy any more. I have seriously lost myself!

The school run (walk) leaves me seriously puffed out. I shall be making changes starting Monday...
