Don't give up! I'd lost a pound this morning. What with that and the exercise I feel I'm getting somewhere. Tortoise, at least it was only half a bag of M&Ms ! Furball baggy clothes are a great sign, and you might try that tummy exercise you told us about because it really works. Hello Smalline, are you still managing exercise classes? So far, by the way, and I know this sounds unlikely, I can manage to get out of bed to exercise because I so enjoy the sensation of having exercised. This has never happened to me before.

Thanks for getting us started this week Heavybee and well done on that pound loss. Yes I am still managing the exercise classes, water aerobics yesterday, am going to give the step class a miss today, as I have so much to do indoors and can't bear seeing it any more. I will make up for it later on in the week.

I have recently bought myself one of those weighing machines that tells you your weight, body fat, water and muscle content, it has also told me that I am obese. It's shocked me into starting the weight-watchers diet, so with the help of you lovely ladies, I am going to do it at home.

Hopefully I will report some weight loss soon.

Dear all

Sorry I sounded so much as though I was telling you all what to do. I'd just spent a week telling new students what to do and it was very difficult to stop but I really didn't mean to hector. Yours, mortified....

Looks like you have scared everyone off Heavybee - only joking, I didn't take it that way at all.

I'm very pleased to report a 2lb weightloss this week. Now the boring bit, according to my new fandangaly weighing machine, which I am very excited about, I have lost nearly 1% fat and gained some muscle tissue, I am carrying more water (not sure if that is a good thing or not) but I have been drinking more water this week, or it could be because AF is due soon.

Is it worth starting a new thread this week?

HeavyBee · 17/10/2007 10:09

I guess so. Gloom is no excuse for giving up. I'll get it going & report back in a minute.
