I was very happy at 10st ish when I got married. I had lost weight from almost 13st at that point and felt great, fit and healthy.
I’m now around 10st 7lb but a lot less fit after 2 kids and feel really flabby. Want to aim for around 9st 7lb to counterbalance the muscle loss.
I’m 5ft 4. What about you? Was it at a particular event you felt best?

@The8thMonth can you tell me what your typical day looks like now?
I’m keen to hear from people who have had good success with their weight loss.

Somewhere between 8st7 and 8st10, really need to do better. Went up to 9st11 at the end of last year, 9st3.5 at the moment, had lost a bit more but have been hectic moving house and eating exceptionally badly. I'm 5ft5 and size 12 at the moment, some 10s and the very occasional stretchy 8 dress, but definitely a size 12 in trousers, horrible dip hips and a big bum and thighs. Going to get back on it this week.

CodenameVillanelle · 13/06/2020 08:55

I looked great at 10 and a half. (Pre kids) I didn't exercise at all so could have looked better. I am a long way away from that now so it's not my realistic goal (my goal is half way between that and where I am now)

GreenTeaMug · 13/06/2020 08:56

for me about 10 stone 9 pounds. I can maintain that without suffering. However years of eating disorders have seen me get up to 13 stone

CarolFuckingBaskinsTiger · 13/06/2020 09:02

At 5'1 probably around 8 stone

Currently 9 and wobbly; but I have PCOS so staying at this weight is tough

dudsville · 13/06/2020 09:06

Perspective is key. I remember when I thought that at 10 stone I was overweight. The weight came on suddenly, from moving in with my partner who was a foody, I'd never been interested in food before and all the new eating added up. I stayed at that weight for years, then after a few pregnancies I discovered a curvier side to my body. I'd never liked my slim body because I had very little in the way of definition, just straight up and down, and I didn't feel very pretty. At 12 stone I am overweight and I'm currently dieting to get down to 11. I will be comfortably within the healthy range with troom to eat a cake from time to time without worry, but still curvy. So 11 is my happy place!

elscar · 13/06/2020 09:08

10st 10lbs - I've been here once in my adult life which was 4 years ago (I lost 3 stone to get here)

Since then another pregnancy and back to 13st 8lbs Sad

Started back on keeping an eye on my diet on Monday- elements of slimming world but focusing on less mindless snacking

A great book to read is "how to have your cake and skinny jeans too" which talks about eating when you are hungry, debunks diets and their history of being used as a torture technique and binging.

Need to read it again myself I think!

octobersky19 · 13/06/2020 09:12

10st

I'm 10st 11 now 8 months after having DS and I'm pregnant again.

I actually lost all my baby weight during c-section recovery and breastfeeding, but over indulged at Christmas then baked a lot of cakes during lockdown.

Was steadily losing the pounds before I found out I was pregnant

Keepsmiling1 · 13/06/2020 09:15

These threads always confuse me. I am 5' 8 and at the moment I weigh 12st 10. I had lost 2 stone and was 11st 5 at the start of the year. Even then I was a size 14 in trousers. Other posters who are 5' 8 are a 10-12 at 10st 4 and a 10-12 at 12st. I know that people carry weight differently but the last time I was size 10-12 was when I was a teenager and weighed about 9 stone! I don't think I'd ever get down to a 10-12 now!!

Bringmewineandcake · 13/06/2020 09:28

I'm 5ft 3.
Over the last 2 years I've gone from 10st 2 to 8st 2 and then nearly all the way back so I'm currently 9st 12. I got to 8st 11 through various diets and lost the rest through stress. I loved being smaller but just dont think I can get back to my lowest weight, whereas I do think I can get to 8st 11 again with some discipline.

I just dont have any discipline 😂 not helped that I am barely moving these days.

sqirrelfriends · 13/06/2020 09:34

I'm 5ft 3" and loved how I looked at about 8.5 st.

I've got a really small build and don't hold extra weight well. I'm only a size 12 but look quite big.

ChangeNameMy247 · 13/06/2020 09:41

I'm 5'2 and i prefer myself best when im around 8st. Currently 8st 11lb because ive done nothing but stuff my face since lockdown. I have PCOS too

CheshireSplat · 13/06/2020 09:43

squirrel what size were you at 8.5st? I'm also 5'3" but am 10 stone 7lbs and a size 12.

Fascinating how different we all are.

greysome · 13/06/2020 12:24

Same, keepsmiling1... I'm 5'9.5 and weigh 10 stone exactly... I wear a size 10. I once weighed 12 stone and was wearing a size 14 which was certainly on the tight side. I personally have a pretty narrow frame for someone of my height but wouldn't be able to get in a size 10 at 10.7, let alone any heavier.

Shedtheload · 13/06/2020 13:17

People have different frames and build. I am 169 cm and even at 14 and a half stone I was only about a size 14 in most shops, albeit a bit snug. Many people the same weight report being a size 18 or 20. I do have a large bone structure though with thicker wrists than most.

Juliet2014 · 13/06/2020 13:18

5’7
8 stone 4

Now 7 stone 4 and look scrawny and un feminine

MsMeNz · 13/06/2020 13:22

72kg at 163cm making me a smallish size 14 is my happy weight I'm currently 84kg

Givemeyourbunsandyourbiscuits · 13/06/2020 13:28

8 stone, which I haven’t seen been since before kids. But put on weight because of biscuits, not kids. 9 stone 4 now at 5’3, size 10. Much happier when I was a size 8

JayeAshe · 13/06/2020 13:37

Like a few PP I am happy at 5'6" and 8 stone 7. I am generally conscious of limiting carb intake but don't have a sweet tooth, which helps a lot.
If my trousers are getting tight I cut carbs right down until they feel OK again.
