Losing weight with PCOS

I have had PCOS for nearly 10 years now. I maintained a great weight for most of my life up until PCOS and the weight just added like never before. I went from 60kg to 98kg and I am finding it impossible to lose weight. I have been doing the ACV juice challenge and I felt like my belly had gone down a little and I have been trying to do intermittent fasting but feel like I am not going down!!!

Does anyone have any tips/ advise or any success stories with PCOS. I am trying to get pregnant again but I am considered obese now and need to lose weight ASAP!

I have PCOS. My specialist (from the fertlity center but he specialised in PCOS) told me to cut my sugar intake as much as possible and avoid white carbohydrates. Thats been helping me.

Though how quickly did you put the weight on? Have you talked to a doctor to make sure its just the PCOS thats making weight loss harder and that there is nothing else at play. A lot of people with PCOS are also insulin resistant so that could come into play too.

I was diagnosed with PCOS six years ago which spurred me into losing the extra 2 stone I was carrying. I used My Fitness Pal and just by logging calories lost it all in 6 weeks and have kept it off ever since with the addition of running and cycling. You have to be really strict with it though - I logged milk in coffee, any drinks, the tiniest snacks etc. It's all willpower at first but becomes easier over time. Good luck!
