Do I need to say this lighthearted and a positive thing?

Just that! I've just started Noom myself (have lost 5lbs so far) and although she is reported to have used the sirtfood diet, she is my new inspiration!! Literally printed her picture out on put it on my fridge so now I'm not grazing all day!! She looks amazing! And I'm thinking if she can do it, im sure I can too!!

I've come on here to say this as my partner is getting bored of my diet talk 😂

In a bid to help myself I also started yoga today, I ache but 'wow, adele!'

By the way I am doing weightloss for myself, I'm so miserable with my weight so I'm doing something about it as being at home all day every day is making my bum bigger!!

She looks like a completely different person. Not knocking her at all as she's obviously done amazing but I thought she looked better before, but maybe that's because the change is so drastic.

Also I too am trying to lose weight. I've shot up 16lbs over ten weeks from pure greed. It's so bloody hard but I need to stop living my life binge eating. Good luck to you!

She’s done so well losing all that weight and I’m not knocking her but she looked fab before as well In fact that was the charm about Adele.

Boogabug · 12/05/2020 14:41

She looks great and is clearly going to be putting her health in a much better position. It grinds my gears that we're not allowed to be happy for her about it.

PearPickingPorky · 12/05/2020 14:42

Careful OP, this thread will bring all the catty "her face is too drawn/haggard", "she's too thin", "she looked better before", "she won't maintain it" comments.

Good for her, I say. She looks much healthier and that must have taken incredible effort and willpower.

I agree with the others, she is a lovely talented woman bigger or slimmer.

justasking111 · 12/05/2020 14:45

She always looked fab, now she is healthy and fab.

greeneyedlulu · 12/05/2020 15:19

It's a drastic change but from what I've read, shes done it for the right reasons, to be healthy for own health and her son. The exact same reasons I need and want to do something about myself. I'm a 40 year old mother of 2 and want to be around when they're older, I want to see my grandchildren!! But right now I want to climb the stairs without having a heart attack or feel like I'm about to have one!

I don’t think people need to jump on here with “hey, she looked BEAUTIFUL before”. Of course she did. But this is the weight loss topic, and I think it’s fair enough for a larger person to look at a celebrity who was also on the larger side, and take motivation and confidence from their weight loss journey.

I also think there’s something to be gained from her experience in that, although yes she had access to a personal trainer and chef etc to help her with the loss; that’s nothing new - she’s had the money for a trainer and a chef for a long time. It really does show that weight loss is more complicated than “just eat less and move more!” And there are complex motivation and emotional factors to go in with that as well.
