I'm still here Grin
I got weighed last week but forgot to post on here, I'd stayed the same so nothing to report, got weighed this morning and I've lost 2 so back to where I was 3(?) Weeks ago.
Been going to outdoor gym sessions that have just opened near me and I'm really enjoying the weights again, (hate cardio!!) Was quite difficult in the heat this morning though!

Everyone seems to be doing well and enjoying this lovely weather!

MrsSnitchnose · 25/06/2020 17:23

I noticed you'd weighed in @Rumandcoke41 but I was waiting for you to post. Well done! Glad I'm not the only one who struggled with the heat this morning

I was certainly glad I was swimming in the lake this morning instead of what you guys have been doing 😃🥵

MrsSnitchnose · 25/06/2020 18:17

I wish I had a lake Fab then I could learn to swim again in peace. I was really good at it when I was younger but I either haven't got the muscles for it anymore, or my body has forgotton how.

Was a completely humiliating experience going to the swimming baths for the first time in twenty years to be outstripped by pensioners and my 12 year old! I did continue to try for a few weeks but I wasn't enjoying it so I stopped.

Much prefer doing my DDPY at home alone Grin

*Caveat to add that I have nothing against pensioners, but I'm only 34 and it was embarrassing!

Good losses on here today, well done guys! I've got last week's lb off plus a little bit more, so very pleased! Back to target.

Fabulodosus · 25/06/2020 21:50

Brilliant!

@MrsSnitchnose remind me when pools are open but there's a session at levy pool that sounds good for you... it's got a coach should you want any tips, is adults only (still pensioners I'm afraid 🤣) but is very casual. I think they'll have it at other pools too. Other option is a super social swim at the women's only session in the evening at levy... music playing too... it was an eye opener for me (I like to swim then get out) but great to set everyone having fun!!!

overwork · 26/06/2020 16:06

1 on for me! Oh dear.
Am now quite hopeful that my previously booked holiday end of July might go ahead so I need to buck my ideas up.
that's just under 5 weeks away. Half a stone would make so much difference to how I feel (I know because that's what I weighed last summer - I can see on MFP!) it's still about a stone up from my normal weight, but would be so much closer.
Hate myself for saying this, but I'm really hoping the weather cools down a bit. I don't like running in the sun, I can't sleep at night, and then I just snack all day to take my mind off the fact that I'm tired and I have sweat running down my back while I try and work.
If only I was one of those people who lost their appetite in the heat!
Well done everyone - in particular Diege, let's get to that 1 stone goalpost!

MrsSnitchnose · 26/06/2020 19:45

I looked into that when I decided to give it a go because I live round the corner @Fabulodosus but the timings didn't fit with my schedule. I work full time and I'm a single parent so no one to watch DS in the evening. If I recall, the other one was on a Tuesday morning.

I'm the same @overwork I'm the Summer hater among my friends. They don't get it at all, but I don't get how people enjoy it either so we balance out goes off to google signs you're actually a vampire

Lol I love the summer but I swell up like a balloon!! Took the kids up the village for pancakes for tea today, ended up drinking round the neighbours house and kids only went to bed about 10!! Quite drunk!!

Rumandcoke41 · 26/06/2020 22:49

Thanks @MrsSnitchnose Smile

I'd love to try open water swimming but the wet suit puts me right off!! Too many of my lumps and bumps on show!

diege · 26/06/2020 23:24

Sounds a good night owl! 😅
Thanks everyone for the encouragement - feel I've left the side down a bit tonight- binged on crackers and chutney of all things! 🤣
I'll also admit to not being a lover of summer. Oddly feel low of mood on summer days which I know is nuts! I loved the rain today, though very humid now.
I'm so impressed by all this swimming and running!

OwlinaTree · 27/06/2020 10:43

rum don't let that put you off. You can't see the lumps and bumps when you are in the water!

Was good fun last night. I'm not very good at Friday night drinking though, too tired after a week of work. It's rainy here today, how disappointing.

Fabulodosus · 27/06/2020 11:26

Def don't let that put you off rum. It's very chilled and many many people of all ages, abilities and sizes... one of the most inclusive, friendly sports I've been part of!! I joined one group in Wales last year and they finish with a very sociable coffee 😃

MrsSnitchnose · 27/06/2020 12:24

That's not odd at all to me diege I sometimes think I have SAD but in reverse. The Summer depresses me like nothing else and mades me very tetchy too

OP posts:
diege · 27/06/2020 14:52

MrsSnitch the summer SAD is a thing I think - Marion Keyes is a fellow sufferer and talks quite comically about the dread she feels at the first signs of summer 🤣

I'm on day 2 of my sweet potato curry... I tend to make a big batch of veggie dishes and work my way through them. I don't really get bored, and I like the control 🤪

Hope everyone's having a good weekend. I'm going to try and dodge the rain and brave Aldi!

overwork · 27/06/2020 20:49

I'm quite excited the temperature has gone right down, I might actually get a bit of sleep tonight! I have to admit, I think part of the reason I am disliking all this unfeasibly hot weather is the lack of things to wear. No one deserves to see my sausage legs squeezing out from under a pair of shorts!

OwlinaTree · 28/06/2020 10:52

Pancakes for breakfast!!

Fabulodosus · 28/06/2020 11:13

Looks yummy!!! 😃

OwlinaTree · 28/06/2020 12:46

It was!

MrsSnitchnose · 28/06/2020 13:31

I'm salivating over your pancakes Owl!
Good to know I'm not alone diege Grin

Very glad that things seemed to have cooled down today and I didn't die during my workout. Could have cried when I looked at my plan and the workout I'd been psyching myself up for isn't until Tuesday. Instead, it was one I've only done once before and leaves me walking like I've lost my horse 😂 Got through it though so feeling particularly pleased with myself now

OwlinaTree · 28/06/2020 16:51

Well done snitch. I'm hoping to go for a run this evening, but been out for a picnic and walk this pm and not due home till 5:40 so not sure if I'll fit it all in.

MrsSnitchnose · 28/06/2020 17:38

Cheers Owl At least you've been out and moved so not the end of the world of you miss your run

OP posts:
diege · 28/06/2020 20:50

All I've managed exercise-wise is a 20 minute toning video 🙄 Better than sitting on my arse though 🤣
I'm living vicariously through people's running and swimming though!

Queenoftheashes · 28/06/2020 21:35

Ooh yummy ! I like pancakes (esp wrapped round a viennetta)

20 mins toning is pretty good!
